Located in Branford, CT, Nonna Gina’s Prepared Foods & Gelateria offers authentic, fresh, homemade Italian food prepared onsite.
Our lunch bar is open Monday – Saturday and comes fully stocked with paninis, pizzas, salads, and soups. We have a prepared foods section filled with single serving and family sized portions that you can take home and a small market where you can find the best pastas and Italian goods around! Nonna Gina’s also boasts a full gelateria bar filled with 24 flavors of locally made Gelato Giuliana, specialty gelato desserts, and gelato cakes! And while we’re not offering catering just yet, it’s coming very soon!

My husband and I love our lunch visits to Nonna Gina’s! We’ve ordered an assortment of their paninis and gelatos. On days where we don’t have time to cook dinner, we’ve picked up some of their prepared meals as well. Everything we’ve tried has been fresh and delicious! Today one of the ladies working offered to put on an Easter bunny costume to take a photo of our daughter with for Easter! This is just an example of the wonderful and friendly staff that are working here. Highly recommend!

Without getting into too much detail, I arrived to get something quick to eat for dinner. Someone had a mishap in the parking lot. Several employees, including the owner, went above and beyond helping this person. Not only is the food fantastic here, clearly they care about their customers. Things like this should not go unnoticed kudos to the owner and staff of Nonna Gina’s! Its good to see that there are good people out there still!

The owners and staff at Nonna Gina’s are simply the best! This business is such a breath of fresh air in our community. Their food is amazing and the prices are unmatched! Today, they fed our whole staff(out of this world penne with vodka sauce, chicken parm, and a BIG caesar salad). We couldn’t recommend this place more, even if its just for one of their panini’s or their famous pre-made dinner options. Thank you for all you do!

Two days ago I stopped in for the first time. I certainly hope these people do well. They seem like a very nice sincere group of people. There is obviously a need for places that sell prepared meals especially in the Branford/Guilford area.

Delicious prepared foods, delicacies and gelato. Tried the meatballs Tuscan bean salad and tabouli and the gelato- all great! Lovely atmosphere- like a little taste of Italy on the Boston Post Road.

So obsessed with this place! The best eggplant I’ve ever had, hands down. The eggplant caprese panini is my all time favorite, and the gelato is incredible as well! Can’t go wrong with this place. And staff are always so friendly.

AMAZING truffle ravioli !!! Bought the eggplant parm for my husband and had a bite, even though I hate eggplant, and I must admit that I may start eating eggplant…. If it’s from Nonna Gina’s!! Food and service is outstanding and what a cool spot they have!

The friendly help who had knowledge of all homemade food was so awesome. The food was delicious from the chicken soup to the eggplant stuffed pizza to the meatball Sandwich. My second time in two weeks just love the homey Italian delicious atmosphere.

Discover Nonna Gina’s one morning after an appointment in Branford. I stayed for an early lunch and an Americano. Everything was fresh and delicious. The take away section is incredible also. I stocked up for the week with take out salad and pastas. They have indoor and outdoor seating. This will be a go-to spot for gelato this summer!
