This place has really created a name for themselves in such a short time so I couldn’t wait to try for myself. I’d didn’t disappoint. I went abt 2:30 on a Saturday and it was packed in there so that’s always a good sign to me. I didn’t have too long a wait even though the line reached almost to the door. I ordered a godfather sub to go and it was fantastic. They don’t have much seating inside, and a few tables outside but the whole place is cute and quaint and staff was very friendly. It’s only abt 10min from home so I will certainly become a regular.

Absolutely fabulous!!! We had the #8 Colle Sannita and the #9 The Godfather and Limoncello Mascarpone cake and the pistachio cake. Everything was delicious!!! Fresh and great service. Beautiful market!!! We even got some candy to try later.

Great addition to the area. They also carry a stock of frozen pastosa pasta. Bagels look great, but we stopped in this time for lunch and had great sandwiches. I had the godfather, my wife a chicken wrap, and the kids enjoyed a ham sandwich. There is a small selection of pasta salads and antipasto, with also a few hot and ready grab and go meals (stuffed shells and chicken Marsala)

I went in yesterday for a #3. The sandwich was top quality. Excellent job on purchasing. I scrolled through and read a couple of bad reviews, this place is not somewhere to throw stones. Really excellent sandwich, worth every penny, absolutely delicious. Great job! I’ll be back and if I have to wait a long time for my sandwich, I’d be happy to because it’s great.

Heard about this place from a friend who lives in Indian trail NC. I drove 50 minutes from lake wylie and let me tell you it was worth a 2 hour drive. Please open one up in lake wylie we need a good deli in the area.

I had a chance to stop in the other week just after 1 pm and it was packed. Several specials on the board were already sold out. I was fortunate to get the last meatball parm sandwich. It was terrific! Just like I grew up with up north. So glad to have Nonna Maria’s bring authentic Italian to Matthews to fill a void. Oh did I mention the black and white cookies are the real deal. Check them out and support a small business. Looking forward to my next visit.

Absolutely the best Italian deli in the Charlotte Metro area and probably in the entirety of North and South Carolina. Been a New York boy all my life and finding an Italian deli that does it right is extremely hard to come by with high standards. This place has my vote and I will for sure be back for more..

We had lunch here yesterday, I had a Reuben made with pastrami and my wife had tomato with mozzarella and arugula sandwiches. Really good bread! The sammies were excellent! They have an assortment of pastas, evoo’s, ravioli and house made lasagna and sauces. There is a selection of meats and cheeses too. Staff and owners are friendly and professional! We will be back!

It’s authentic and passes every vibe check. Feels like walking into a deli in Howard Beach or old school Richmond Hill. IYKYK. They sell hard to find items like fresh squid ink pasta, buffalo milk butter, Locatelli cheese, Amaretti and several flavors of panetone, not just classic.
