Noodle Deli is what I would call a Chinese ramen restaurant. There’s a fair amount of classic Chinese food followed by different arrangements of noodle soup you can order. Each table has a stash of chopsticks followed by soy sauce and vinegar ready to splash. The noodles are 2.5x thicker in width and have this rhombus-like cross section.

I love this place for their mapo tofu, it’s one of my favorites of all time!! so flavorful and soft, great comfort food (and pretty inexpensive!! 7.50$). service is pretty slow so be ready to wait a bit for food, but waiters are so nice and the food is freshly cooked and authentic, so the wait is acceptable for me :).

I’m constantly on the hunt for good noodles and Noodle Deli has to be in my top 2 or 3. I feel like it’s Chicagoland’s best kept secret! The quality of the knife-cut noodles is amazing. They’re the perfect thickness and width which mixes beautifully with the sauces. Some restaurants cut them too thick so you’re tasting a little more noodle than is ideal. The beef noodle broth was wonderful – light and not oily. Everything we ordered had a great balance of flavors and was very, very high quality.

Excellent hand sliced noodles. Certainly the more rare dish to find in the US and the best of what we ordered. Everything else was good/as you’d expect. They seem a bit short staffed so have a little patience. Scan to order at each table is a smart option.

We came to this restaurant base on our friend’s recommendation. They highly recommended to order the chow fun and it didn’t disappoint. The stir fried chow fun was quite unusual the way they cooked it, it was a bit crispy on the outside and chewy when you bite on it. I believe most of the dishes are under $10 and all the noodles are made in house (I might be wrong…).

An authentic northern Chinese noodle restaurant. Nothing more, nothing less. I love this place when I’m craving the foods I ate when I lived in northern China. The staff are really friendly and sweet, too. Good food and good service. If you know, you know.

Having delighted in the cuisine numerous times during lunch I have enjoyed the food. Because it is not very visible from the street it doesn’t get enough lunch business that it deserves. There is a good variety on the menu, so try different dishes each time you go. The owners are in the dinning room on a regular basis. If this was helpful please hit, “like.

I love the food here. Delicious and traditional. But the people who answered the phone had so bad attitude. I spoke Chinese said I would like to order a take out order. And then I spoke the dishes names in English because I read the menu which was English. She said: speak Chinese, don’t speak Chinese and English. Very ridiculous and very bad attitude. Never order again.

Incredibly slow service with an attitude beyond imagination. Waited more than 50 mins for 2 dishes. Asked the server 3 times about how long it will takr until we can get our food, and every time she said it’ll be a couple more minutes. The food is just okay, the portion is relatively small. Will not ever visit again.
