The broth is simmered for a period of 2 days. Due to the extensive cooking period, our broth has a deep, well developed flavor that can only be described by experiencing it.
Traditional ramen noodles are egg noodles, which are a soft golden yellow color and appear wavy. The Kyushu tradition serves a straighter lighter colored noodle. Both are handmade and both cooked in an ‘al dente’ fashion, as they will continue to cook in the broth when served.

Noodle house was a great spot for our group to get ramen together. We tried the shoryu , tan tan (spicy), and beef ramen and they were all delicious. The gyoza were tasty and the service was great. The staff were ready to fill our glasses with more water and to clear away dishes as soon as we had finished with them. The location is clean and simple but could use a little bit of decoration to give it some personality.

Very delicious ramen! The pork is super tender and flavorful with the soft boiled eggs which are my favorite. Would definitely go back to just keep trying different bowls.

This is a fantastic little restaurant in Oakland. Our waiter was so nice. The service is fast. The restaurant is small but very clean. The food is fresh and hot and delicious. Reasonable pricing, large portions, excellent food, great customer service. Perfect Oakland spot conveniently located on Forbes Ave.

Bit pricey, but this was a special treat for my family and it was the best ramen I’ve ever had! I got the Tan Tan Spicy Pork Ramen, kiddo got the Pan Fried Chicken Shoyu Ramen, and my husband got the Mixed Vegetable Ramen. We all loved it and emptied our bowls! Serving size is quite hefty and the service was excellent.

We got three types of ramen but they were all just okay. Nothing was wrong with them but the lacked any wow factor. We also had the breaded chicken and the pork buns. Again – fine but nothing special.

Been here twice in the last two and a half years (it’s not close to where I live + parking fees) and have firmly cemented it as my favorite ramen place ever! Went there with my 4-year-old and 6-year-old nephews and both Loved it as well. The staff was kind and friendly and, of course, the food was absolutely amazing! Cannot recommend it enough!

This casual little place in the Oakland neighborhood seems to be a popular place with University of Pittsburgh students, and we were lucky to find street parking in front and a couple of seats at the window bar. It’s not surprising, given the great food and affordable prices.
