July the 4th allowed me to find one of the few establishments in the area open for dining. Excellent Noodles and Co. . I was passing through town. Acknowledgment with high praise must be noted for employee Kyle. He was extraordinary not only for working on a holiday but for being a one-man show. He was taking the orders, making the food, conducting the prep, assembling take out orders, bringing the food to the tables for grateful patrons dining inside. I asked if he had any other help and he said there was another employee. I only saw her once when she emerged from behind the kitchen on her cell phone. I told him just to do everything one step at a time and do not get rattled. Kyle was working at an extremely fast pace which says a lot about him because he wanted to provide exemplary service. When he brought my food he thanked me for my kind words. Yet it is only he who needs thanked. This experience led me to thinking about the holiday and I am happy to say that it is people like Kyle who the forefathers and foremothers of this country laid the foundation for us to be the most sought after desired country in the world in which to live. I hope we get back to that. Thank you Kyle. Oh and the penne Rosa was delicious.

The food was mediocre and vastly overpriced. Frankly my wife hated her meal. My meal the “pasta Fresha” was described as being a balsamic vinaigrette, I assure you this was the spiciest balsamic vinaigrette I’ve ever had. Restaurant with clean and the staff was courteous. None the less it was $30 for food that tasted like a Stouffer’s TV dinner. All this being said I give them a lot of credit for customer service, for getting the line to move efficiently and the cleanliness of the restaurant.

People are friendly and the atmosphere is great for kids. Unfortunately the options for adults are not well done. The Japanese Pan Noodles were overcooked and soggy, they had soaked up any of the sauce that may have been there, and there no discernable flavor. The spaghetti was overcooked and the sauce is tomato heavy, and pretty flat without herbs or other flavors. The macaroni and cheese is quite tasty and the pasta is usually well cooked on that one. They do make a killer rice crispy treat!

The roasted garlic tortelloni that my girlfriend got was fine, but I can’t in good conscience refer to what I ordered as mac n cheese, especially not wisconsin mac. The pasta was firm to the point that chewing it was a workout. Hardly any cheese in it either. It was basically just stiff pasta with some cheese on it. For a place that’s supposed to specialize in all pastas, they really did a bad job with the mac.

Well, not much to be excited about here. This is like a fast food restaurant for over cooked tasteless pastas around the world. I ordered the Japanese pan noodles and pot stickers. The noodles were over cooked. They had hardly any sauce making them extremely sticky. The vegetables were almost under cooked making them a bit over crunchy. The pot stickers were ok. However, they also stuck together and as I ate them I found quite a few macaroni noodles leaving me to believe the cook is also sloppy.
