This place is fire !!! Our dinner was so good! The rolls are good sized. Everything looks so fresh. I LOVED the takoyaki! Kids loved the salted edamame. All the sushi rolls were completely DeeLishhhh! I think our family’s favorite was the crunchy salmon roll. The chef special was bomb diggity. I only wish I would have asked for tobiko on my special because tobiko is my fave. Service was outstanding. Very attentive server. Thank you young man for the outstanding service. Everything was absolutely yummy and awesome. We will definitely come back here.

Located in downtown Oroville, Nori Asian Kitchen + Sushi offers a variety of Asian dishes in addition to some really excellent sushi. This review will solely focus on the restaurant’s sushi offerings.

AMAZING food! Must try the chefs special. Tell him whatever you want and he’ll make it happen! My wife and I ordered too much for the both of us but it was absolutely delicious. They played great music, had a very clean restaurant, and had wonderful service. Will definitely be coming here again in the future.

I used to frequent this place at their previous location. It had so much character until I noticed it got run down the last few weeks or months I went there. I guess they were getting the new place ready so they hardly kept up with the old place. But the food was excellent and they seemed to pay attention to customers. I tried their new location and my friend and I just stood there at the entrance without anyone directing us where to go and sit until a bartender finally noticed we were there for quite sometime. We were ready to leave. They use a plastic glass for water and that was fine until my friend noticed a lip mark on the glass. I wonder how that happened but that was gross. And for the most part servers just kept chatting and not going back to check on customers like they’re supposed to. This is just an objective review. I actually thought their food was good so I frequented the place and have actually been generous in giving tips. My last experience just wasn’t on par. So this review isn’t to put them down but maybe as they read this, they will improve their service and pay more attention to detail. Unfortunately for me, I probably will look elsewhere to have my Japanese/Asian food. Best wishes to them.

So the whole place is a decent size, not crowded at all and I went during lunch. The menu is small and sort of specific with the items they have available. I was hoping to find some festival goodies but this place didn’t have any. Still though what i did order was good and well portioned. Tofu and vegetables in a rice bowl and a side of dumplings. It’s a little pricey so if you want to spend a little more than usual then this place is ok.

No one greeted us at the front door for a good 5 minutes although multiple staff members saw us just standing there, so we walked in awkwardly to the other side of the restaurant, which we still weren’t greeted by the multiple staff members and owner present. My sister had to approach a staff member and I can’t even speak for the food because they wouldn’t accommodate to our party of 10 although the kitchen was still opened for another 1.5 hour. Extremely disappointed. We then awkwardly walked ourselves out with no apologies and most of the customers in the restaurant staring at us. However, we went to Union around the corner instead and had a blast.

Sushi and other Asian food. Oroville doesn’t have much sushi selection so this is the place to go to. Great staff and food.

I’m glad we have an Asian fusion type restaurant in Oroville. And for the most part they are a decent restaurant. Their appetizers are good, but a few of the entrees I’ve tried were less than impressive. Plus the last couple times I’ve been, the floors were sticky and the humidity level was uncomfortable. On my last experience I ordered Hamachi Kama, as the picture shows, it was inedible – more closely resembling fish jerky than the delicacy I was expecting. I have had good experiences here, and I don’t want to give a totally negative review, just go with limited expectations.

This place is amazing! Huge rolls, everything I’ve tried has been awesome. Comparable to Mikuni’s. The best calamari by far! Service is top notch

Literally sooooo excited that I found a sushi place Oroville! Finally made it to this nice place in Downtown Oroville. My friend and I ordered 4 different rolls(dynamite, spider, dragon, and rainbow) and they were all AMAZING. Pot stickers for an app and they were crispy and filled with goodness. I have always traveled to Chico for sushi and now I no longer feel the need Fresh and tasty rolls at a great price! And they have local beer on tap! Definitely going all the time ♥️
