We are at Nori Sushi and Grill at the recommendation of our Uber driver. He said it was really good sushi. It was very average. He both said to each other, it’s like sushi you can get at the grocery store. We shared the Philly roll, the Boston roll, the spicy Ahi roll on the lunch special and added the spicy special roll. The food did come quickly. No alcohol sales.

Very delicious! I had an order of shrimp tempura that was so amazing I ordered another one! The staff is very patient and friendly. They even taught me how to use chopsticks. It was a pleasant experience! I highly recommend 10/10 ⭐️

I ordered sushi at his place before and it was delicious. This time I came with my friend, and his house opened Chinese food. We ordered General Tso’s Chicken and Sesame Chicken, surprisingly delicious! I will bring my family with me next time.

Food was good. Minor complaints, I came in and clearly said my name but they demanded my order number and exactly what I ordered. I couldn’t not remember right away and felt very flustered. My name was right there on the order ticket but they would not give me my order until I found the text with the order number. They also had the extremely hot Takoyaki on top of the sushi which heated some cold sushi up.

I ordered their Gyoza and Chicken teriyaki. I really enjoyed the Gyoza, however the Chicken Teriyaki was just ok. I felt like it was a great portion, however I didn’t really get much of the sauce so it was more like plain chicken on rice. Next time I’ll ask for a little more sauce so I can taste the flavor of the teriyaki itself. Overall I enjoyed and look forward to ordering from them again and trying some new items!

Only ordered crab rangoon to test the quality products of the restaurant. Rangoon’s were way too small, over fried, and nowhere near enough feeling. If this boards for the rest of their product I am not impressed. While the flavors were there there were a few issues, compared to other like restaurants in Champaign-Urbana area. Will certainly give them another opportunity after they have had a chance to read this review

I ordered the lunch special and I made the purchase through Doordash (my food arrived super fast, so I’m 100% sure the problem was not with the delivery) – At first everything was fine until I tried a piece of the Philadelphia sushi. As soon as I put it in my mouth, I wanted to throw up. I don’t know if it was the salmon or the cream cheese that went bad. I smelled to see if I could find out what was wrong and the smell was also weird and kind of sour. I’m very disappointed 🙁

I had the steak yokisaba which was very fresh and delicious. It was a little too salty but still good. Wondering if they use msg since I have a reaction to msg and after I ate I did have my msg reaction. I also ordered the sweet potato sushi(maki). I love sweet potato maki and order it whenever available on a sushi menu. It was subpar I thought here at Nori. The sweet potato was barely cooked so it was more like eating raw sweet potato maki. All the other sweet potato in other mail I’ve had is soft and tasty. Hard undone sweet potato has almost no taste and it’s crunchy. So was quite disappointed in it. I’ll go back and try other sushi. Not much for me to choose from though because I cannot eat shell fish and 70% have shrimp or crabmeat.
