So much fun! The atmosphere was unique and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. We knew nothing about sake and got a great overview. The food was fantastic we tried the ramen, curry, and teriyaki bowls. Highly recommend their take on nachos for an appetizer.

Really cool and unique place. I had never tried sake before but I fell in love with their lemon-mint one Sweet Agony. Definitely get the sake flight, but make sure you have a ride home! During the peak of the pandemic I often did carry-out and the staff was always nice to chat to while I waited.

Having never been to a sake brewery before, this was a great first experience. The bartender was extremely knowledgeable about something that is always referred to as a rice. Wine however, is actually much more similar to a beer based on how it is made. I would definitely recommend anyone who enjoys sake to check this place out if they are ever in town.

Well this is our first and only Sake brewery that we’ve ever visited. If you really like Sake and/or the kitchen was open this could have easily been a 5 star review. We tried a flight of 6, which was all flavors available. One interesting note is that all the different styles we tasted start from the same rice base, but there are differences in how it’s milled and fermented that make the different flavors. Anyway our favorite was a toss up between Olympus and Bad Baby. They also have plenty of good indoor and outdoor seating. Shame the kitchen was not open as I’ve seen good reviews.

Kitchen closed 3-5 pm, but they were totally cool with us bringing some food in (only when kitchen is closed). Great beer and aake selection, the flight can be customized. Will return

We had such a great experience and got a full tour of the brewery. I learned a lot about the process of making sake. My wife had a hibachi chicken bowl which was very good. I had the tuna poke bowl which was God but it needed a little more flavoring. Waiter brought me more sauce which made it perfect. Our waiter was very good and gave us lots of good ideas of things to do in Charlottesville and hiking.

This place is amazing. They brew sake on the premises and they have a rice spa. The food was delicious. My son enjoyed a few flights of sake. The art work in the building and outside of the area is absolutely amazing, the area looks progressive and very upbeat.

A solid 4 stars. The service was decent. Our hostess was really pleasant but seemed overwhelmed. Ironically, one of the reviews here talks about issues with their reservation system and we had the same experience (5 months later). I made a reservation on OpenTable and came early. My friend and I ended up sitting and eating in the bar area and we had no complaints about sitting there. We were told to order with the bartender who seemed displeased to be working and didn’t attend to us while we waited. Our original hostess ended up taking care of us. I got the poke bowl, sushi and mochi. All were great. Be advised: the poke bowl was especially potent/fresh tasting. I tried the spicy mango jalapeño sake special they had and it was good. I am not much of a sake drinker, and have probably only had it a couple times (years ago) so I didn’t know what to expect. It was good, but I’ll stick with my cocktails for my go to’s. The ambiance was nice. They had plenty of gluten free and vegan options (including the mochi). We went on a Friday evening and there was still plenty of parking. Overall, great!
