At north point, keeping family tradition is important. Our restaurant has gone through many changes throughout the years, including a fire in 2018 that resulted in total loss of the building (who knew wet towels could self-combust?). As we’ve rebuilt, 3 traditions we’ve promised to maintain are the memory of Grandpa Fred’s love for farming and tractors, our world-famous steak sandwich, and the 30-foot tall windmill outside.
The windmill by the restaurant today is from the farm where Grandma Elaine grew up. It was a working mill and stood many years at the Wegener farm, helping to pump water for the cattle troughs. The windmill represents a family tradition, similar to many of the items featured on our menu that we’re sure you’ll enjoy.
Based on 827 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.1 stars. Price $$

Perch dinner to die for!! If you’re not here on a Friday you can’t get perch but you can not go wrong with their pizza. It’s honestly the best in the city and I’m kind of an expert also they have the best salads in town. I don’t mean the healthiest but the most delicious and the biggest for sure!!! Also many people think their steak sandwiches are the best in the world. I’m not a steak sandwich kinda person but if you are I’m pretty sure you won’t be disappointed if you go with that. Really I’ve never had a bad meal here and I’ve been eating here for at least 30 years. The wings are amazing as are all of the apps!! Enjoy❤️❤️

Very clean and super friendly. Fried pickles are amazing. Worth the visit alone. I felt the meat on the steak sandwich was very bland and lacked seasoning. Marinara was very plain. Fries are great. Prices are fair. Cool atmosphere…tall ceiling with a monster ceiling fan and pictures of local farms. Tractors everywhere! Will come back for more pickles and to try the pizza.

Stopped by for lunch and were very pleased. The steak sandwich was very good (and the garlic toast was outstanding), and we enjoyed the pizza. The hot cheese balls appetizer was great, and came with a very tasty marinara sauce. Serving sizes were generous. There is a full service bar and food prices were reasonable. Staff was friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very clean.

Extremely clean and the staff is super friendly! Food was brought out quickly and they have a lot of historic photos of the local farms. Lots of tractor models on displays. Our server Emily D was so very nice and timely.

The food here was great. The holy cow, that’s a big burger was exactly that. Prices were very reasonable as well. Saw someone else order a pizza and realized that we are going to need another trip to try that out. Our server was not the best. Kinda noticed that the tables that had alcohol were getting a bit more attention. Minor complaint for an otherwise great experience.

Stopped here spontaneously as we were traveling south, not knowing what to expect. What a pleasant surprise! The food was great! I had a burger, which was juicy, flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium rare. My son’s pizza was equally as good. The only slight knock was the two small pieces of fish on my wife’s sandwich.

Not like the old Northpoint before it burned down. The famous Steak sandwich is more bread then anything. The Taco salad is all shell, no sauce and no lettuce. Staff is very friendly and looks clean inside. We miss the old place for sure!!

First the bar tender didn’t greet us or smile. The waitress was friendly and apologetic. The food has completely changed. We ordered multiple appetizers thinking they were the same they’ve had for years but they definitely weren’t. Even the fries were bland. This is such a let down, we always looked forward to stopping.
