I like trains and I like food, so Northbound is a place for me. This is a nice, casual restaurant located in the former Reading Railroad Souderton train station. (Ironic to me is that it’s on the Southbound side of the tracks….). I came with a group for lunch and we all ordered something different and it was all good. Water comes in interesting, stainless steel cups. It took pretty long to get our food, but the food was very good. The servers brought us extra water and checked on us. I was hoping to see a Pennsylvania Northeastern freight train come by, but none did. It was a little bit pricey for lunch, but it was good. It was quite busy and reservations are recommended.

So delicious! Outside seating was great. An excellent option after the matinee at Montgomery Theater. You must try the Sexy Fries…. It’s a large portion, so make sure you share with your table mates.

Hostess was very welcoming. Our waitress came to our table twice, take our orders and give the check. Wrong salad was brought out, quickly replaced it. Our dinner was okay at best, dessert was fantastic.

We went here for dinner with our children. We made a reservation and were sat quickly upon arrival. The restaurant was pretty busy on a stormy Summer Saturday night. The food was great, but the smash burger had a little too much sauce, which made it hard to taste the actual burger. The fried chicken sandwich was delicious though and the fries are thin and crispy. The pork nachos were the perfect appetizer with a balanced amount of cheese, pulled pork, and spices.

Northbound seems to be hit or miss and the other night it was definitely a miss. The cocktails were good, the tuna poke was great and we enjoyed eating on the patio. That was the extent of positives. I was there with a friend and we are foodies, we both decided to try the Sirloin Coulotte based on the description and photo. As soon as it came out we could smell the overwhelming amount of garlic and tasted other odd flavors, we both just looked at each other, but decided we should at least try the sirloin…I’ve only said this a handful of times in my life, but it was so tough it was actually inedible. I explained it to our waitress who was very nice and told us their head chef was on vacation. We were still hungry, so ordered the House Made Ricotta, which was was bland and came with cold soggy sourdough and stale crackers.

Food not so good.. Not a good selection and with foo & beer. Ridiculous price on the wings. Our waiter was good and friendly! Little disappointed with the food though.. I don’t normally do reviews but. Think before you come! I would definitely not come back !

Always such amazing food. Unfortunately, our waitress left us sitting at our table for over 30 minutes after we asked for the check. We watched her chatting with a guy at the bar while we waited. Finally, we had to go over and ask again. Usually we have a wonderful time but that wasn’t very professional

Food is absolutely outstanding. I’ve only dined in once but I’ve eaten plenty of my families leftovers and without a doubt in my mind I can say that everything on their menu is top quality. Absolutely delicious and the service matched that of the food. 10/10 folks
