This is a very unassuming place. It’s in an area where I wouldn’t expect there to be good Chinese food. But here we have it. Very solid, comforting Chinese food for the soul. The prices are all very reasonable, the portions are good, and everything is very well-rounded. What’s great is that they also have lots of seating. I’d say the biggest negative though is parking. I’ve always been lucky to find street parking, but I’m not sure how luck you can get every time.

Amazing food and quick service! You order, pay, and find a seat first, and then the food comes out. I personally like this system, because I didn’t need to wait after finishing my food to leave. We ordered the pork dumplings, potstickers, shrimp wontons, dan dan noodles, and peking meat pie. All of the food was good, and the dumplings were especially delicious. They also had great chili oil. I would definitely come again.

Delicious freshly-made food, one of the youngsters behind the counter however decided to give my husband a challenging attitude perhaps they could fix that. Even after that because the food is so wonderful we came back to celebrate my youngest son’s 19th birthday.

I ordered through the DoorDash App to have food delivered to my home, they then said they do not deliver, the man I talked to then say’s that a “Victor” is delivering my food through uber. I then wait 30 mins…No Victor, so I call back and the same man says my food is right there sitting on the counter for me to pick up. So they lied and made this “Victor” driver up. I then had to pay for an Uber 17$ to get my meal. I get home and take a bite of the most sour vinegar teriyaki, I ordered Orange Chicken. Its heartburn in a half filled container. The rice had ham in it, I ordered vegetable rice. So I try the rib meat, which is basically a cartilage bone with more vinegar dosed on it. I ordered at 9:10pm and finally sat down with this despicable attempt at “Chinese Food” at 10:38pm. The help button I used to have a doordash driver order said to expect my food to be delivered at 10:04pm at 9:38pm so I waited for this “Victor” DoorDash Driver for around 30 mins. He never showed up so I call Northern Cafe and they had nothing to say to me when I asked why the lie about this “Victor” driver. They just straight up hang up in my face. This meal was 48$, I then look at the receipt at home and they charged me 58$ randomly. It must be the horrible service that they provided that they decided to charge the extra 10$ for. Almost 80$ down the drain and not even an apology for the amazingly horrid customer service in which I received. Very complicating, very rude and they would not listen to what I was saying when I called Northern Cafe. This place is a joke and quite honestly extremely nasty food and very unprofessionally absurd rude people work here . BEWARE!

We’ve ordered from here a few times for take-outs. Our usual order is chicken fried rice and orange chicken. The portions are good. Recently we ordered noodles and spicy crispy fish fillet. I didn’t like the noodles it was a meh for me. Fish fillet was good and crunchy. But hands down my favorite is their chicken fried rice and Orange chicken
