My fiancé and I are true omakase connoisseurs. Traveling around the globe for the best omakase experience is one of our hobbies. After countless experiences and hundreds of bites of the finest, freshest chutoro (my favorite) later… we are lucky to say our absolute favorite omakase experience is right in our backyard at Nossa Omakase in Miami Beach. We are frequent customers now, but I’ll share my first experience as it was truly the most special. Nossa is a speakeasy type of restaurant (my favorite). We entered the KOA poke restaurant to get the secret password then we were instructed to go down a “hidden” alley to enter the restaurant. As we were walking down the alley I couldn’t wait to see what came next. We knocked on the door, gave the password then were welcomed into a sexy, dim lit bar with an aperitif to commence the experience. There we got to mingle with the other guests, have some laughs and build up anticipation for what was to come next. We were told the chef was ready for us, and we made our way down the hallway awaiting to enter the dining room. When we entered the dining room I was in awe. Smokiness, a beautifully plated first course, chefs hard at work, and of course, Sebastian welcoming us all to Nossa. We sat in our assigned seats at a U-shaped omakase counter in excitement and as conversations were dwindling down, Sebastian introduced us to our first course- and so on. Every. Single. Dish was absolutely incredible. The thoughtfulness put in to every ingredient and how it would compliment the other, the highest quality ingredients; rare fish and delicacies. Every dish is composed with so much thought and care with a unique taste. the NOSSA EGG MCMUFFIN *mic drop* . I mean… there’s a reason why we love this place and choose this restaurant over any other in Miami and over any other omakase we’ve experienced. The food is incomparable, Sebastian is incomparable, he is focused on giving his guests the best quality ingredients rather than shaving margins and giving a bunch of “fluff” like many places in Miami. Curating these dishes is a true passion for him. the rest of the staff is so kind, accommodating and attentive. My fiancé has a lot of food intolerances and allergies, and we are confident he is in safe hands at Nossa. I don’t want to spoil the experience because it is an exceptional surprise, but from start from finish- it is unforgettable. Nossa may be the most expensive omakase in Miami, but don’t let the price mislead you. it is also is the best value with the highest quality ingredients highlighted throughout the entire dining experience. If you happen to be lucky enough to discover this gem, it is a hands down must try. Cancel your reservation at the overrated Michelin star omakase you have booked and be genuinely impressed at Nossa.

One of the best and most memorable omakase experiences of my life. I have been to Masa in New York many times and Nossa can easily go head to head with them. Besides the taste and the artistic presentation of the food, the ambience is unlike any other omakase experiences. Chef Sebastian is engaging and has many great stories to share. By the end of the evening many of the guests were exchanging phone numbers and became friends!!?
