I absolutely love the Colonial Diner. I’ve been going there for 7 years now and I have never had bad service or a bad meal. Most times I go I see the same waitress from the first time I came in. To me, if you have consistent great staff the service and food will be the same. I’ve never had a wrong order or bad food and when in college I went there at least once or twice a week. It amazes me that out of all the people who come into the diner, the waitresses can remember your favorite order from years ago. Great staff, good food and good service.

My sister & I stopped in for an early dinner. We like the warm & friendly atmosphere. Both of us had the fish & chips which was right on spot. Large delicious portions had us taking home doggy bags. I’ve lived in Middletown for 40+yrs and the Colonial Diner has been a mainstay welcoming travelers and locals alike. Fair prices, great food and wonderful service.

It’s a rare occasion where I get a meal that I don’t enjoy from this diner. Let’s talk about the cheese and gravy fries for a second. Insanely good! Best ones I’ve ever had in this area. The staff is nice and the food is good quality for a diner. They have great specials and it’s always clean and presentable.

This is definitely one of the better diners I’ve eaten at. So far, it’s my favorite one in all of Orange County. The food tastes great, the portions are very generous, and the workers there are extremely friendly. The price is reasonable, and like I said, you’re given a lot. You really can’t beat that!

Stopped here during a recent road trip and it was fantastic. Its a little ways off the highway passed all the chain “restaurants” and far superior. It’s basic diner faire but turned up to eleven. The french toast was great and the sausages and corned beef hash amazingly delicious.

This place is amazing. I have never seen as nice a diner anywhere. The staff is friendly, and efficient, the food is good and plentiful, but most impressive is the place itself. Super clean, attention to detail is incredible and inside you have the feeling of being in an expensive restaurant. We’ll worth finding this place if you’re anywhere near Middletown NY.
