The smiling server/bartender was awesome , you can tell he loves what he does. The Lady Burger griller deserves a gold metal. It was the best burger I have ever had. These two were the one-two punch in an amazing establishment. This place was comfortable friendly and the music was great. It felt like home. I will definitely be coming back.

I will definitely be back for the burger! I got a full setup, bacon, cheese and Italian sauce. Extremely good flavor! Not too greasy! Loved it!

I’ve been here twice, different times of the day and each time, I had a different burger. The meat had no flavor, aside from a massive amount of salt and meat was mealy and dry.. Chili was just salty ground beef spread.. putting chili or pimento cheese on a burger doesn’t automatically make it amazing. Cajun fries were great though but we never got our fried mushrooms(they werent added to our order) Service was atrocious. We had to go to the bar to get our sodas refilled because our waitress kept disappearing, and when we saw her, she was dancing behind the bar but never returned to the table. We flagged down another waitress to get our bill.. The claim was that they were shorthanded and so busy, yet when we left, our waitress was coming in from the parking lot.. I would not recommend this place unless this is what your into. I’ll never trust food network awards again.

Would have rated it 5 stars if I had room to upgrade at a later time. White Trash burgers were great. Had trouble eating the whole thing. Atmosphere is awesome, I love old “dives”.

It’s more of a bar than a restaurant. The Philly cheese steak was one big slab of meat came with plain right chips. Not very good. But the Tom chili fries were AWESOME. It cost $20 for these two items.

I got the cheese steak and my fiance had the French dip. The food was amazing (both, because I had a bite of his as well!), the service was awesome, and the price was really good. Less than $25 for both of us, now days that’s hard to come by!

Don’t let the exterior dissuade you, what’s inside is well worth it. The staff was pleasant and the food was great. Certainly a contender for the best burger in Spartanburg if not the winner of the contest. Will certainly be going back.

Don’t let the looks of it scare you away! This hole in the wall, oldest bar in Spartanburg, with its’ dark ambience and old school lamps, has got it going on! The “best burger in SC” will NOT disappoint! The wings were crispy and perfect, as were the onion rings. Worth the trip!!!

If you’re not a regular you receive second tier service. Was seated and went over 30 minutes with no service whatsoever on a Thursday night after being told we would be served shortly, watching the bartenders stand for conversations with people who just walk in. Highly frustrating when you work and the time you go out for is precious.

Tried to stop in and get a drink and the bartender ran my ID and their new “id machine” shows that my ID is a fake. I am a 29 year old and have never had this issue with this ID beware if you have an out of state license!
