Who knew back in 1916, when James Mallis opened the first Nu-Way Weiner stand on Cotton Avenue in Macon, Georgia, that he had created a chili dog that would become an eating obsession?

The obsession continues today, and Nu-Way still serves the same secret recipe chili sauce and private label weiners. We also feature the famous MegaBurger® and are open early for breakfast.

Nice old school vibe. Great quality food for the price. The staff was a bit rude and loud. A lady came from the back, grabbed an empty cup, filled it repeatedly from the soda fountain while she gulped it and then went back to work. Staff was more focused on cutting up than they were tending to customers. Love the old school vibe and the value, just wish the customer service had the same old school values.

Classic Nu-way. A Macon area tradition. This WR location is good with a friendly staff. All the way: is onions mustard and a nice chili with a touch of clove in it. It is pretty unique, and quite tasty.

Food was good, to bad my order wasn’t right the first time I got it. Angela (manager) took my order. I ordered the 3 cheese dogs atw combo, sweet tea with light ice. She walked to the back to I guess tell them my order and came back to make my drink. She filled the cup all the way with ice. I asked her again to please make it light ice. She dumped majority of the ice out and proceeded to fill the cup. She brings it back and says ” your ice is already melted”. I told her that’s fine. I get my food and leave. Short6down the road I notice. I have no cheese. I turned around and took it back. She didn’t say anything to me. Brandy went to the back and the returns to me saying I didn’t pay for cheese. I said fine, I will pay for it. I didnt know that Angela didn’t charge me for it anyways since that’s what I ordered. My food is remade and as I am leaving Angela says as I am about to walk out the door “she didn’t order cheese”. I turned around and told her that I know what I ordered and she obviously didn’t pay attention because she was about to mess up my drink also if I wouldn’t have corrected her. Number one, if you are the Manger you should definitely lead by example. Your customer service was seriously lacking. Number two, pay attention to the person in front you and actually look at them. Maybe you can concentrate on what they are saying. Number three, don’t talk about the customer when they are walking out thinking I wouldn’t hear you. Should have at least waited till I was out the door. However, you also did this in front of other customers. This is not only rude but unprofessional on your behalf, especially as the “manager”

We went through the drivethru and the cashier taking the order was rude, failed to do the order correctly, then our food was incorrect. When I called the only option was drive drive back across town. When asked for full replacement by the manager she said we don’t do that. After such a bad experience, I will no be back!
