Came here based on proximity to my hotel. I always like to try New York style pizza when I travel. Decent slice and prompt/fast service. Great value for the meal. $7.99 for 2 slices of pepperoni with a drink. The slice could have had just a little more tang in my opinion. Nice grease from the pepperoni. Overall, good pizza that filled me up. Also, learned about Cheerwine since it was in the spot usually reserved for Dr. Pepper where im from. Pretty interesting soda. Got the garlic knots as well. They were not as garlicky and flavorful as they looked. The marinara served with them was a little bland too. If that was the same sauce on the pizza, that could explain the lack of tang from the slices. Would try again, but after I tried other spots in the area. The atmosphere wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad either. Fine for a place in a strip mall.

We kept hearing that Brooklyn Original Slices has good pizza and finally got the chance to try them out. I hadn’t had Sicilian pizza in a while so I was ready! Overall, it was good. I would say it is a decent imitation of NY pizza. The XL Sicilian was huge and the taste was close to what I was expecting. We also got a grilled chicken salad and small plain pie. The small pie is basically the size of a personal pizza which is a good option for kids who don’t like toppings.

I have never been in the store, but I order delivery from here relatively often. It’s probably the best New York style pizza in Raleigh, at least from the places I’ve tried. I always know exactly what quality I’m getting and it’s usually pretty quick.

I’ve come here many times before. They close at 9:30. I tried to call at 9pm to place a quick order of just 2 slices of pizza. Couldn’t get anyone to answer. Got to the store at 9:15 and was told they were closed. They were not closed and had they picked up the phone, I could’ve placed the order 30 min before closing. If you close at 9:30, then actually close at 9:30. I should be able to get 2 slices of pizza 15-30min before closing time. Not like I was placing an order of an entire pizza needing to be baked.

I haven’t been here since the old owners. Stopped in today. The food is absolutely good. I’m from NY so this place definitely took me back home. A lil wait on the specialty dishes so call ahead if you’re squeezed for time, although it’s worth the wait. Great customer service. I’ll be back

I ordered from Grubhub for the 1st time scared to death bc as a NYer everyone thinks this place or that place tastes like NY pizza. Well I’m here to tell yous guys it does not. It’s the water. The place I started was Slice of NY then Vics Pizza . Menza menza. So I tried this place and the garlic knots are absolutely amazing and a definite must with any order. The marinara is so good I wanted to drink it. It was raining and pizza does get gummy on rainy days so be sure on your 1st time get good weather. I’m superstitious lol. Yous guys need to try this place.

My son really wanted a steak and cheese. I called and Chris answered the phone and my only questions was “do you make your meatballs or buy them frozen?” As soon as he said they were made in house I was sold. He was kind and patient while putting in a large order. We did a cheese pizza,Stromboli, spaghetti and meatballs, and a steak and cheese. It was all really delicious which is getting rare these days. We had to get another pizza 2 days later because that’s all anyone was talking about. It’s also locally owned and operated by a family. Good stuff.

Omgosh I have no idea how I had not discovered this hidden gem!! It’s hands down the best pizza in Raleigh and the closest thing to New York pizza you’re going to get without crossing the turnpike and they even have fried okra!! I’m so glad my brother told me about this place he grew up in Brooklyn 5 stars definitely recommend
