Take my word- this is the best Halal Food Cart in the entire NY City and surrounding areas. Yes, even better than the Halal guys. If you don’t believe then go try it. The meat is amazingly flavorful and juicy. The rice is good enough to compliment the meat. You can get Chicken over rice, Lamb over rice, Chicken and Lamb combo or Chicken/Lamb Chopita (Chopita substitutes rice with pita bread). Veggie folks can have felafel instead of meat. Price is very cheap at $6. It’s a best value for money meal. Beware of the spice level though. Don’t get spicy rice and hot sauce both. Either take regular rice with hot sauce or spicy rice with no hot sauce. Load up the white sauce though and happiness is guaranteed!

Long after I have left USA, I suddenly remember the chicken over rice I enjoyed regularly when I worked at Exchange Place. This was my go to food cart that I get my lunch from for a few days every week. A little cart that’s parked around the corner of Christopher Columbus Dr, an amazingly friendly seller and top class flavourful food. My favourite is the combo but still the Chicken over rice and the Lb over rice are their signature dishes. I used to be a regular eater during the period 2016/2017 but I’m writing this review in 2021 just because I’d never forget the food and never got to taste something similar again. The food at that time was around $6-$7 per pack. Great value for money. Nicely cooked flavourful meat, deliciously made rice with some salad and sauce toppings, that’s the perfect meal you could ever get in Jersey City. I hope this cart still operates the same and the owner/seller is still doing a great job. I miss this food cart so much. Hop off the exchange place light rail station and walk around the corner you’ll see this cart. If you are in Jersey City and you do not eat from this cart your visit to Jersey City is a waste!
