Rude. I walk in the cashier sees me approach her and she stuffs food in her mouth. They just started serving breakfast, I asked her the prices. She turns her back then starts mumbling something. I said excuse me she eat more and continued mumbling. The food is okay but there’s pleny of Jamaican restaurants on Linden, Patmar a pattie place next door. It’s so sad that people put up with this type of service. I left and went to the Chinese restaurant 5 doors down good service and walked out with my food in 8 minutes. I really go out of my way to support local black businesses BUT I won’t support rude behavior, no matter who you are.

I used to be a manager of this establishment. The 5 star reviews you see about a month before this post were all my efforts. From talking and persuading guests to leave a good comment. However, the reason the service is so terrible is that most if not all of the workers dont have papers, and they are at the mercy of Aaron Clarke (owner) His staff would go weeks without getting paid and when he did get around to paying them, it would usually be short. He has no concern for the workers or the customers, for that matter. Outside of the poor business practices, unfortunately, all the workers and cooks are not licensed or properly trained in food handling and/or preporation. He literally would take anyone off the street and let them cook or handle food with no recommendations or references. Im also aware that the establishment hasent had a DOH inspection for a while….. before the owners mother passed, who was the original owner. I’ve made a complaint with the BBB as well as the labor board because he even shorted me money before I had enough. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go to this restaurant because, believe me, your health and safety are an afterthought.

Food is pretty good but to be honest the service is abysmal they cancel orders, never have a majority of their items ready, and always put the blame on customers regularly. They even have cancelled orders over simple disruptions that could have been amended if they were more patient and worked with customers. Hope they can actually turn it around to serve better.

The comments before don’t do this place justice. It seems that they have made a complete 180 degree turn from what the once were. I went in today and the service was amazing. Not only that but the food is amazing too. I most definitely recommend you come here to eat!!!!

This place does NOT MISS!!!! I have to order from them AT LEAST once a week. Food is ALWAYS excellent. My last order was of their shrimp rasta pasta, and it was so good I almost cried! And no I don’t work there. Food is REALLY amazing. They’re available on door dash and Uber eats.

I especially loved the Curry Goat and Oxtail dishes.The service was also top-notch – the staff were friendly and attentive throughout my meal, making sure everything was to my liking. I wish I could subtract stars, your service is beyond awful, you do not know how speak properly over the phone, your food is trash, you have no customer service at all, not everyone is Jamaican so speak clearly and have manners, you also greet customers as they approach the counter in a respectful way, don’t just blurt out your Jamaican slangs as if everyone should be able to translate.
