Excellent first experience at O-Ku. Everything on the menu sounded amazing, so we relied on several great suggestions from our waiter. All the food was delicious, fish was incredibly fresh, and this was some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. That said, the service was slow, the wait staff seemed overwhelmed, and it took a long time to get drinks and starters ordered, and even longer before they arrived (about 30 min from seated to drinks at the table). I’ll say it’s most likely still the restaurant and staff getting started, so I’ll definitely come back. Highly recommend.

I’ve been to O-ku in Charleston, Charlotte, and now Greenville…I’m never disappointed. Greenville’s menu was fresh, exciting, and a bit different with highlights of fan favorites. Service is always top notch as well. My only con was how LOUD it was. Greenville in general seems to not have much volume etiquette so it’s not just an O-Ku thing. Will always be back!

Recently moved from Charleston to Greenville so when we heard of Oku coming to the Greenville area as well, naturally we were pretty stoked. The atmosphere, food, and hospitality were nothing short of amazing, and everything we were used to getting at the Charleston Oku. No detail is overlooked. This is exactly what Greenville has needed, and we will be back for sure!

The service & food are both equally fantastic! My daughter & I sat at the sushi bar, enjoyed the Goat and Paladin rolls, along with 2 of the excellent mocktails. The sushi chef also unexpectedly gave us an additional dish (Salmon Usuzukuri), after we were commenting (not complaining, I promise!!) on the Goat roll… I’m convinced they really care about their customers being satisfied and enjoying their entire meal. We’ll be back, for sure!

I’m completely amazed at how this restaurant currently holds high reviews. Are the people in Greenville that uneducated about sushi? I’m no snob, but I know the rice is not supposed to be dry and hard. We dropped $170.00 tonight on 2 rolls and 12 pieces of sashimi with 1 mixed drink and 1 salad. For that money, the sushi better be top notch.
