I really enjoyed the food at O’ Taste and See. I had a very great and pleasant experience. The team and the owner are very friendly and welcoming when you first step into the restaurant. The mac ‘n’ cheese is the best mac n cheese I ever had at a soul food restaurant here in the Birmingham area. I wish the oxtails were a little more tender and moister for the amount of money that I paid for the oxtail plate, but all in all, I had a great experience, and I will definitely be back. However, I came back a second time and got the turkey wings and it was WONDERFUL and I personally believe this is the best and most professional soul food restaurant here in the Birmingham area. I can’t say enough about how much I love this man’s cooking and the heart he puts into it. I had my first taste back when he came to the Lions den in Adamsville every other Sunday, then followed him to church in Tarrant and now to his very own location. He knows me when I walk in the door and has my food cooking before i can blink. He has yet to disappoint me or anyone I have ever introduced to his cooking! I will always support Chef Timothy and spread the word about his food and customer service every chance I get!!!

Great food (little salty at times) and probably one of the only places that you will get your money’s worth. When they say it’s the “home of the heavy plate”, they definitely mean it. Definitely have to be patient because the after church crowd is no joke, but the employees try to get people in/out as quickly as possible. Great food (just please ease on the salt), great employees and great customer service! Btw, I need to try the lasagna, it looked delicious!

Everything this awesome! I’ve tried everything and I was very satisfied. Food is very hot and fresh. All the food is homemade. Great customer service. It’s definitely worth the money. I purchased two plates, and that wasn’t a good move for myself. The portions of one plate are definitely enough. Luckily, I found someone to share the second plate with. (Smile) It was my first visit, but I will definitely visit again.

A great meal! Went in for some fish or turkey and they were out of both (and just about everything else)! I settled for a vegetable plate and my oh my it was delicious!!!
