We went to Oak last night for my birthday. The best part of the restaurant is Craig Biggins, the Director of their wine program and general manager. The wine list was small, but excellent. His wine knowledge is quite helpful. The kale salad was nice and chopped up but I think it needed a little more acid. My wife ordered the fish and she wasn’t thrilled.. I ordered the lamb chop, which ended up being a chintzy portion and 35% of it was fat. So that was a big disappointment. The biggest disappointment was that this is the first time.EVER for a family birthday that they did not offer a complementary dessert. In fact, you even have to pay for the bread. So when we left, we were hungry. This is extra disappointing because they had a surcharge to help pay the salaries of the staff. However, the ambience, the excellent customer service, and brilliance in wine redeem the restaurant, and gives it a 4 rating.

Oak is one of our favorite restaurants and after all these years, the food is still excellent! Had dinner with friends this time and everyone enjoyed the meal. We began with Focaccia, an Apple and Kale Salad and Burrata di Stefano… all tasty. Then I had the Colorado Lamb Two Ways (rack and sausage). Didn’t know what to expect but it was perfectly cooked. Paired the meal with a full bodied Oratorio ‘19 as an ideal accompaniment. Can’t wait to get back there again.

One of the best restaurants in Boulder. Nice decor, excellent food, great service. Two couples shared the Korean pork shoulder. It was fantastic! The pork was incredibly tender and juicy and served up with hot, spicy kimchi. Loved all the little side dishes that were served along with it with items such as roasted garlic and diced green apple. The kale salad had a slight sweetness to it that offset any natural bitterness. We also shared the hamachi appetizer and realized when we tasted it we should have ordered one each. We actually got to take home some leftover pork. There’s a lot of food there, and it made for great leftovers. I would like to see the restaurant, expand the wine menu.

Sat at the bar. No one felt responsible for me. Talked to different bar tender, no one introduced themselve. Their house Martini was good. The curious George reminded me of a cheap beach town cocktail. Had scampi for appetizer, menu didn’t say that it was mostly pasta. No one checked if food was ok. Taste was good though.

Had a great meal here. The service is good. The food is healthy and gourmet style. Really enjoyed my fish. The apps were also delicious. Parking around this area can be tight which is a slight inconvenience. Overall I’d come back to try it again. No complainants!

Amazing dinner experience with my wife for our anniversary. They started us out with complementary champagne and it only got better from there. The staff were fantastic, attentive, and so knowledgeable about the menu and drink list which is important for my Celiac wife. Delicious and unique cocktails that were all excellent. The food was excellent and perfect portion sizes, not too small like some other high end restaurants and not large enough to make you feel sick afterwards. We will absolutely be back soon. Highly recommend.

This restaurant should be transparent with its pricing and not blindside people with a 6% surcharge on every item. Customers should be able to trust that the prices printed on a menu are the actual cost. Competitors who are more straightforward with their customers about raising prices are at a disadvantage. Yes, the surcharge was listed in small print at the bottom of the menu, but not one of the six people in our group saw it until the bill. We all saw the itemized prices.

I stopped in Oak the other day on business and sat at the bar. Had a great time, excellent meal and refreshing drinks. The barkeep Kyle really knows his stuff, I asked for a few off menu drinks and he whipped them right up, improvising nicely when he was missing one ingredient. He recommended the pork belly and was spot on. Excellent service. Thank you
