Food was delicious We started with the fried artichoke appetizer . Definitely recommend if u like artichoke’s! I went with the veggie stir fry, I love that it had big slice’s of garlic. My husband had the burger, in his words ” now that’s a burger”. The price was very reasonable and service was great! Wait staff was very attentive and helpful! We will definitely go back to try more!

Great looking restaurant with amazing food! Highly recommend the clam chowder when available it’s usually a special. The shrimp & scallop dish was cooked to perfection great portion size too. Our waitress was super friendly and checked in on us frequently. Delicious crafted cocktails as well. Definitely check out this local gem in West Haven.

What an awesome new addition to the Savin Rock community! We visited on a Wednesday night and they were slammed, which is awesome to see! Loved the ambiance and thought they had a great variety on the menu. Started off with the chili lime wings, which had plenty of meat on their bones, and the fried calamari, which came with an incredible lemon aioli. My fiancé loved his cocktail and fish tacos, and I ordered the ricotta gnocchi. I actually don’t order gnocchi myself too often, but with this one being homemade ricotta gnocchi, I went for it. I’m so glad I did, because it was fantastic!! The sauce was delicious too and had so much garlic, which I loved. For dessert, we shared a piece of cheesecake, which was one of the lightest and creamiest that we’ve had at a restaurant. We were told that the chef’s wife makes it who actually used to own her own cheesecake business in Greenwich! I’ll definitely be keeping this spot in mind over the summer because it’s within walking distance from the beach and boardwalk. Parking is a bit tough because the lot is small, but luckily we were able to find parking down the street.

Guess It Was Fate
Went to Oak Beach Bar & Grill for the first time today with a dear friend because I heard about the great food and I wanted to compare what I consider the best burger I’ve ever had at Dive Bar in West Haven to their burger. My friend had the scallops and shrimp with spinach and beans and she said it was very good and a big portion. I had their burger and while it was very very good I would have to rate the burger at Dive Bar better. There is a more char broiled taste to Dive Bar’s plus you get a brioche bun that doesn’t collapse like at Oak Beach. I was impressed to see some other menu items being served as they have a great menu. I will certainly be eager to try other selections and I can highly recommend Oak Beach Bar & Grill.

Very nice post graduation meal for a party of 6. Service was excellent, food tasty, & great drinks. I can personally, highly recommend the ricotta gnocchi, absolutely fabulous. Light & fluffy with very nicely seasoned tomato sauce. For apps, they have the best boneless chicken wings we’ve ever had. Korea BBQ & Original Buffalo, yummy!

Let’s just say there’s a reason for all the five stars. This is my second time here and it’s very consistent with my first, excellent customer service, great food, and good atmosphere. The reviews don’t lie. This place is incredible. Server was friendly and answered every question happily. We ordered fried mozzarella, cheeseburger with fries, and strip steak with broccoli rabe. Everything was truly delicious!! So excited they are right around the corner from us. Our new go to spot for sure.

Thrilled to have tasted such quality in our own backyard. Service was excellent and friendly. Food really well prepared and fresh. Soup, entree and dessert could not have tasted better. 2nd time Hubby & myself have been here and once again it doesn’t fail – Just “WOW”!!! We shared the very ample starter of crackling calamari. He had the fish & chips (the battered cod fillets were massive) – I had the chicken + prosciutto on a bed of spinach in a tomato/white wine sauce that is just to die for !!! Followed by Baileys Irish coffees with a sharing of the in-house made cheesecake with warm black cherries finished off our meals – YUMMY !!
