The blackened seafood platter is wonderful. Great spice. Fried platter is very good as well. Sides are good but the collards are the best in town. Coleslaw is also awesome. Staff is great. Love Carla, she is very helpful. This place is a hidden gem.

I went for the first time with my family. The environment was nice and clean looking. The parking was accessible and I enjoyed looking at the picnic benches outside. The server did the best she could and it was a little busy. The mash potatoes were stiff and not very warm. The fried flounder and shrimp was good. It take a while for us to get our food and drinks refilled. I did not get the tater sauce or cocktail sauce. The ambiance is nice and parking. Next time I will get a cheeseburger, green beans, and salad…

We moved to Columbia in 1995 and this past Saturday was my first visit to this wonderful seafood restaurant. My husband grew up in Georgetown S C and loved seafood. He taught this mountian girl what to look for and I have found it. The place is beautiful and service excellent. The Chef even came out and ask if everything was good. You will not be disappointed in this choice. They also have liver and onions, something else I look for. I had oysters and flounder. They had a good selection of sides also. I will be visiting again.

Was very excited to try this place, but the food was overall disappointing. Everything we ordered needed a few extra minutes in the fryer… and the food was bland. The potato seemed not washed/rinsed and wasn’t cooked through. And the hushpuppies are overly sweet and have what my husband calls a “fortune cookie” flavor. I give 3 stars because the service was good and the shrimp and grits were good. We probably won’t be back though.

Tried this fairly new restaurant last yr before CoVid. Nice location, plenty parking. You will have to wait a bit for seating, popular place during the weekend. Once we were seated things went in a timely manner. The menu has your basic seafood, which was fairly priced. Honestly the food was kinda greasy and bland. It wasn’t horrible, but just not my kinda eating.

Brought the family to OGFH Saturday night for dinner. I’ve heard it was very good and always crowded. It wasn’t crowded at all. We were immediately seated and chose to sit out front at a picnic table under the lights. Food was delicious and the hush puppies they bring are awesome. Also had the catfish strips for an app. Calabash shrimp was good as well as the shrimp and grits. And the hostess, Beth, was amazing. IDK what they pay her but it’s not enough!

Update Feb 25 2022. We we’re out running errands and forgot lunch. Popped in here about 3 pm for a small bite and ended up with the big combo! Just delicious as always. Our server had hush puppies in front of us before we could blink. Great food, great service, reasonable price.

Best fish and seafood we’ve had in a while. The grilled food was good, the fried was not overcooked or greasy, and the hush puppies are devine. We are definitely going to eat here again. We rode our Harleys and the parking area is paved, which is important.

Calabash shrimp is good. The sides are very bland. The hushpuppies taste like funnel cake. I like funnel cake but I don’t want my hushpuppies tasting sweet. The place wasn’t busy at all but we never got a refill on our water. I’ve tried this place three times hoping it would be better. I won’t go back.
