This place reminds me of the local gyros spot around the corner from my childhood home in Chicago. The interior, the atmosphere, and most importantly the food. As other reviews have mentioned this is probably one of the better gyros you’ll get in Milwaukee.

I came in from out of town and like to hit this place. I must admit, it seems like they cut back on the portion size. I ordered the gyro combo and extra pita….but I didn’t need the extra pita as there wasn’t that much meat this time. fries are always good.

I love Oakland Gyros and have been loyal since the late 90s. The chicken shish kebab and gyro platters are always great. Whether for lunch, dinner, or late night Oakland Gyros is the east side standard for UWM area food. Quick, clean, always friendly.

Been here several times, it’s always excellent food. It’s nice and quiet today, during the day, managers walking around making sure everything is just right. The site, however, reads ‘cash only’, which is not true, plastic seems to be the norm that I’ve seen today. I also love the art, two examples posted w/ this review.

I love a good gyro, and I’ve been all over the city trying them out. These are the best, or at least top 3 gyros in MKE. The building is old and the staff can be prickly but the food is superb. I’ve only had the gyros so far but I plan to try more on the menu
