Good lunch spot! The chicken lettuce cups (when they aren’t too dry), soups, and passion fruit tea are some of my favorite lunches. Lost a star because the lettuce cups, drink, and asked-for counter tip will set you back $24. They are also very hit or miss with the food consistency. Not enough to keep me from coming back though.

i work in the grove and this is the best place i go to for a quick, healthy lunch that i can take to go, call in, or eat in. friendly staff, and love their fresh squeezed juices. highly recommend the tofu spring roll with the tamrin sauce and broccoli and cheese soup (which they should make more often! i love that stuff!!) 😀

I have been a frequent customer at Ocean Cafe for the past several years. They feature a healthy menu, with an array of unique soups; salads and sandwiches. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has decreased over the years, especially as it relates to consistency of quality. On days, I can order butternut squash soup that is thick and flavorful; on another day, it is watery and bland; on yet another, it is milky and of a completely different flavor and texture. The chicken noodle soup can be served with virtually no chicken or vegetables at all. The chicken is often dry. I continue to return based on a few menu items that seem to remain consistently good. However, I certainly have branched out to other local venues when I would always have returned to Ocean Cafe in the past.

I have been going there for years, and I am completely sympathetic to the required changes due to the COVID virus (I am in healthcare). That being said, I was very disappointed in how I was treated when ordering my food while in my scrubs. I was told to wait outside until my food was ready by the young woman behind the counter. I complied, thinking that this was their policy. A few moments later, another gentleman walked in and when his food was not ready he just took a seat and chatted with the same person that told me I had to leave! I understand that everyone is anxious, but discriminating against someone in healthcare at a time like this is ridiculous. By the way – we are the most cautious and have the best hygiene and personal protective procedures when we go anywhere.

I was looking for a lunch place with healthy options, which this place has a lot of. Unfortunately, the smoothie I ordered was mostly ice and had little to no flavor. The ‘smoothie’ was so badly made I could not be sure whether or not any of the ingredients that were listed were actually used, with the exception of ice. I also ordered an avocado roll which was mediocre at best. I really wanted to like this place, but Im not sure I would go back.
