The restaurant itself is gorgeous! Super cool ambience, beautiful inside! The lighting is incredible. However, our waitress was rather erratic, the food was not worth the money at all, served on very small plates, and did not look like the photographs. We had better food at “the beach house,” for half the price. We had my six year old daughter with us, and she ordered chicken fingers and fries, and they brought her chicken fingers and mashed potatoes and the server said no fries, and ran off. She wasn’t given any alternatives and she ended up eating two meager chicken fingers for dinner and was starving. (she doesn’t like mashed potatoes and was offered nothing else instead!!!). For what I would consider a more upscale restaurant, I expect better service. Heck, at the CRAB TRAP in both Destin and Fort Walton Beach, the waiters went over and above to make my daughter happy and excited on her vacation!!! There was a storm brewing outside so I don’t know if they were trying to close early, but our experience felt rushed and it was a disappointing end to our vacation. We wanted to go big before we go home, and we ended up going mediocre. Thumbs down.

Kayleigh made sure our dining experience was exceptional. She had the kitchen accommodate food allergies. The food was delicious. We had 11 people in our party. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I suggest trying the fried lobster tail!

Food and atmosphere are so great!! We had the veal piccata and shrimp/lobster scampi, both were amazing. The band was fantastic and our girls(6&5)had a blast dancing with everyone.

So it’s just okay. I really wanted to love it and may have had unrealistic expectations based on reading prior reviews. The overall atmosphere is nice, albeit a bit dated. The early-bird discount would make this a more reasonable option. Menu was somewhat limited and food was good, but not what I’d consider fine dining for the full price point. We went on a Wednesday which was locals night, the band was good and the crowd was older but lively.

It almost feels like you have gone back in time, not sure how to explain it, but do yourself a favor and plan a nice evening at The Ocean Club. Check out the early dining specials! Service was excellent. Music was great. Atmosphere was great. The food was just par, average, meh. We couldn’t figure out why the food was so bland and flavorless. It just didn’t make sense. Maybe they cater to an older demographic that doesn’t like rich flavorful meals. I was expecting a better meal.
