Fantastic food, super fast and delicious! We love coming here with whole fish like Moana Kali, uhu, uku Chinese style steamed or salt and pepper style. The honey walnut style takes the cake above all! We also long getting the Singapore fried noodles on the side. We even tried jellyfish for the first time here!

You have to try this place. One of the BEST (if not the best) seafood places on the Big Island. I don’t understand why this place is so underrated. We ordered the jellyfish, scallop soup, and steam fish. Steam fish is AMAZING. Our fish is Uhu and it’s so tender and delicious. The price is also good compared to some overpriced fine dining restaurants. It’s really authentic Chinese food, even better than some restaurants in LA or the Bay Area. Overall, fantastic restaurant.

I’ve done both the lunch and dinner buffets. They offer 10 hot items plus fried rice, noodles, and egg drop soup on the buffet line. Cold items are green salad and fruits. Malasada’s are for dessert.

Craving for Chinese/Asian, we came across Ocean Seafood, which is nearest to our hotel. The Chef specialises in Canton cuisine. We opt for the ala-carte menu rather than the buffet as it is cooked fresh. This is a typical Chinese restaurant with dated decoration. We only order two dishes with rice. The portions are quite generous.

If Chinese is your comfort food, then this is the place for you! The winning dish is the crispy chicken where the white meat is incredibly moist, while the skin is crispy with a hint of sweetness and perfectly salted. I was absolutely impressed! Personally I think it’s better than any crispy chicken I’ve had in the San Gabriel valley. The chicken was perhaps comparable to a crispy huli huli chicken. Maybe? Other dishes were alright. More $$$ than the mainland for sure. But service was quick and friendly. The parking lot had plenty of space even with others restaurants.

There isn’t many as authentic/non panda express style Chinese restaurant on the island, this might the the only one near kona. Even then, this isn’t on par with hk or anything like that, but if your craving real Chinese food this place ain’t bad. Maybe because we speak the language and are familiar with the Chinese restaurant business but my family and I got a special order of lobster and fish. They also a panda style all you can eat too.
