If you ask yourself – “Can I fresh, delicious sushi in downtown Oneida?” Our answer is YES! We tried the monkfish liver, not for everyone but my husband liked it, and our rolls were beautifully presented and very delicious. Service is quick and efficient. They seem to do a good take-out business too. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!

Don’t let the outside fool you. We found this while on vacation. Unfortunately (or fortunately as it turned out) the majority of restaurants in the area are closed Monday. Ocean saved us from eating cereal for dinner! The menu has a great variety. We had most of the appetizers and an assortment of rolls. Everything was fresh and delicious! Prices are reasonable and service was attentive. It is small though and might not be the best choice for a large party or for young children. The steady stream of take out suggests it’s popular choice with the locals.

A very nice, family-run Japanese restaurant in an unexpected location. The service was fast and efficient, the staff was very friendly, and the food was excellent. The miso soup was flavorful without being overly salty. The ginger salad dressing was delicious. And the hibachi salmon was deliciously paired with brown rice and a variety of vegetables. Highly recommended!

We are always looking for new sushi places and now there’s one in Oneida! We ordered take out and when we walked in, the floors were extremely sticky and dirty, yuck. The rolls are pretty delicious but a bit small compared to other restaurants. The hibachi was very bland with not a lot of flavor. It was meh.

Drive all the way to wegamans and getting 2 big platters of mix sushi is cheaper and you get more then the Small sushi rolls and the small thing of Ocean sushi for 2. The Chinese restaurants around have better tasting crab rangoons. Wouldn’t recommend. First and last time we will go here

I am so relieved to find decent sushi in Central New York. The menu is salmon-heavy, which makes me quite happy. The prices are far more reasonable than most eateries, which is especially rare for sushi! You can sometimes even get uni here. The unagi was hot, tender, with that tiny bit of crisp. The salmon was generous. The crazy salmon roll is quite satisfying as well.
