What a find! Perfect for our family that prefers to eat outside at local parks. They only serve take out. The menu is extensive and we probably got carried away ordering but everything we got was so good. There were many items on the menu you wouldn’t normally see at a Japanese restaurant. The ingredients were fresh. The portion sizes were generous and the flavors were spot on. Take the time to also look at the snacks/desserts they have in the store. I wish we had made to order bentos closer to home. We even got treated to a rainbow at nearby Window on the Bay Park.

This is a quaint little sushi restaurant that I will run into during the work day to grab a couple of pre-made dishes. I usually grab the Onigiri, some Japanese pickles and seaweed salad. There are often groups of people who come for lunch and spend time socializing through afternoon. The food has always been decent quality and I’ve never been disappointed. Great for a quick meal!

We are in Monterey for the week and were looking for no-frills sushi since we are traveling with an infant. Ocean Sushi Deli popped up on our search and we are so glad it did. The staff was so friendly and the food was good! The prices were reasonable as well. We are already thinking about going back again before the end of the week.

First time here, and was very happy with the taste and quality of our sushi rolls. We ordered the Dragon, and Happy Island, and they were delicious. The reason I’m not giving a 5-star is because of the price, and the wait. I waited for 29 minutes to get two sushi rolls, I actually was 30 minutes over on my lunch break, and for two sushi rolls I paid $37. Don’t get me wrong, the sushi tasted great, but that was a ridiculously long wait for two rolls, and to almost pay $40 for two rolls is excessive. Other than that if you’re looking for a great-tasting sushi, you don’t mind $17-$20 rolls, or the wait, then you really will enjoy this place.

A little piece of Japan in Monterey Bay. This shop has a ton of authentic Japanese products and food. They have great flavor and vegan and gluten free options. The service was really good and everyone was really nice and patient in explaining the menu. I would definently come here again.
