Overall tasty, and a bit pricey but that’s expected within this territory, I’m not Jamaican, but I’m from NY, and I’m pretty sure Jerk Pork isn’t traditionally done the way they serve it, maybe limitations at location doesn’t allow for traditional grilling, nevertheless, it was very tasty and spicy, will be back to try the Curry Goat, hope I won’t be disappointed.

My favorite Jamaican Spot! I love authentic flavor and spice and they hit that perfectly. I personally recommend the jerk chicken plate if you love spicy food and the ginger pineapple juice to pair.

The food is so delicious! I was in the area and had to get me some Jamaican food since quality in Ventura County doesn’t get good reviews.

Ocho Rios Grill has stolen my heart with its outstanding Caribbean cuisine, particularly its mouthwatering ox tails and juicy pepper steak. This hidden gem has become a personal favorite, providing a flavorful paradise that leaves me craving more.

We ordered a oxtail and curry chicken dinner on 5.7.23 for approximately $55.00, only to receive very very dark and dry oxtail. The curry chicken was good but there was so much curry on the rice the rice was mushy. The cabbage was under seasoned.Disappointed, we wasted our money!

Don’t understand how a black Jamaican restaurant doesn’t serve lunch between 12-2 pm on lunch hours on Juneteenth smh a black holiday. Don’t try and capitalize off of a black holiday and your company is black Jamaican restaurant. Y’all should be serving specials on this holiday for your people not charging xtra or not providing lunch at lunch time, sorry but just pathetic. We walked out and didn’t order.

Let me start by saying I’m from Houston so maybe my taste buds are a lil different but the oxtails with rice and peas was not good at all the oxtails were rubbery and the rice and peas were not good the seasoning was lacking. I suggested she taste Cool Runnings in Houston before I tasted their food. Im more than convinced that they need a lil help . Im sorry I loved the customer service and promptness. The restaurant was clean and nice. All of that was perfect the product is seriously lacking.

I’ve never had brown stew without some kind of gravy or juice. It was tender but it was dry. And everything tasted like it had been prepared the day before. Plus a fountain drink was $6 never again.

Went for the first time. The ox tail was very tender, as well as the cabbage. Macaroni had a kick to it as well and wasn’t bland. Will definitely be going back for the jerk chicken next.

This is not Jamaican food. The fat from the oxtail was not removed and the rice was drenched with gravy, making it hard to digest. Also, the festival isn’t like normal festival, expect to bite down hard in a ginger-stuffed roll .
