Today I ate at the Oelwein Family Restaurant and ordered just hash browns with extra toppings. The food was so hot and fresh and very good/tasty. Actually, it was better than some of the larger restaurants we have where I live. I highly recommend anyone who wants a “family” style restaurant to eat there.

I haven’t been there since new owners took over. The food was really good, the service was great. Pricing is a little higher, but I’d say it’s fair for the portions you get. Definitely will return.

Waitress was very nice, just not very organized. She did have help from other waitresses that helped her catch up. She never asked if we wanted refills on cold drinks, lemonade and ice tea, did refill coffee one time. Maybe a new, waitress? Food was excellent and prices were very reasonable. We would stop again and would recommend to others.

I always get a good meal & experience when we come for a meal. Today 4/15 was not what I come for. I had a waitress today who barely spoke English & messed up our breakfast & barely checked up on us. Luckily 2 other waitress fixed all her mistakes & made up for her lack of effort ,neglect, & lack of basic understanding. Customers come to this restaurant because of great food n customer care. Please understand the Customers come for a great meal & don’t want to deal with a waitress like this.

New Ownership is making this place shine. Soup and ranch is homemade along with many of their dishes. Everything is fresh and consistent. All you can eat Chicken and Fish Specials are 10/10. Best prices and quality in town.

I have eaten breakfast, (very good). Lunch-Hambuger, was bad, Dinner-Fish sandwich totally disgusting. Same goes for the hot roast beef. So needless to say, only worth going there for breakfast ONLY.
