Very dark in there, hard to read the menu. Took 10 minutes after saying hi for the waitress to take our drink order. And it was SLOW! Only two other couples. Food took another 35 minutes to arrive. When done we waited and waited for our bill. Finally had to ask for it. This happens EVERY time I go in there. I will be going to the Hilltop going forward. Food is decent which is why I’m always hopeful of a change but after multiple tries over the years I am done.

Usually have a good time at The office. The owner Matt is a really good guy. Went there last night with friends and ordered 6 shots before last call. My friend and I took two. Then a bartender not on duty cleared our table, emptied out the shots and played dumb wouldn’t give us a refund for the four she poured out. Another bartender saw one from another table that was half gone and offered to refill that one. That was horrible customer service and if you want to see work friends and help out you shouldn’t be clearing tables with drinks unless you ask the table if there done first. Another person at the table lost 2 of hers as well. I hope this isn’t a last call scam.

Our group of 12 arrived at 4:50 pm. A group of I assume locals arrived at 5:00 pm and sat at a table they had reserved. There orders were taken before ours because as the waitress said, they were here before us. We finally ordered at about 5:10. Our group was split to two tables of six each. After a pretty lengthy wait our first table was served, then after another ten minutes, the rest of the guys at my table were served. After awhile the waitress came through to see if anyone needed another drink. I asked about my order, asking if they had to catch the fish, I had ordered fish and chips. She laughed and said she’d be right back with it. Twenty minutes later I was served and she warned me that it was very hot. She then went to our other table to deliver their bills, circled back to our table and asked if I would like a box??? I told her I had ordered it because I was hungry, so no, I don’t want a box. I wolfed down most of the fish and maybe half of the fries as fast as I could so I wouldn’t keep the guys waiting. Bottom line is despite us being a group of 12, the place as a whole didn’t appear to be all that busy, so 1:35 minutes to get served is ridiculous. That was my first time in Oscoda and so also my first time in the Office Lounge. I may return to Oscoda but after this experience and reading many similar reviews citing extremely slow service, I won’t return to the Office Lounge. In fairness, I will say the food was good.

Honestly upset that I even have to write this but I did not deserve the service I received. The server came to our table gave us menus (1 time), came back with our drinks & took our order (2 times), dropped off our appetizer (3 times) but this time got mad we asked for refills. Didn’t even stop to ask how our food was at all. We waited 45 minutes for her to check back or even bring us the tab. I finally stood up and explained my concerns to the bartender. Still ended up paying for a boneless wing basket (for wings I did not eat, & for fries that I never received). Our server brought us our tab finally but then after 15 minutes of her not picking it up, we used the ATM to get cash and left. I am shaking for how upset I am that I even got service like this. Even on my busiest, worst days as a server, I could never treat a table like this.

Best to go on Friday for there live DJ and fish and chips! They have Perch, Cod and Walleye fried with the best beer batter I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating. And the loaded tatter tots are awesome!! The burgers are some of the juiciest I’ve even had! Chicken wings are on point! And the fried mushrooms are even better! The staff is really nice and attentive. Make sure to come in on vacation and support this wonder bar!

No cleared tables when we went in. No one even attempted to clean them or tell us it would be a while. We asked to clear a table and the young lady seemed agitated that we did. My mom tried to make small talk and she basically ignored my mom. Service was extremely slow, I don’t believe I’ve ever experienced slower service, to the point of us almost walking out after they reluctantly cleared our table. It was a Tuesday afternoon, not a Friday or Saturday evening. Poor waitstaff. Poor customer service. 2 hours for a couple of cheese burgers and sandwich. No excuse for that. Poorly managed will not be back.

Great little bar restaurant. Fried picked and cheese curds were great. Cheese curds stretched wider than our table. French onion soup was tip die for. Burger was… Ok, but the steak and cheese was amazing. Took home more leftovers than we were able to eat there.
