It was worth the drive to come and have lunch at this place! The food I ordered was absolutely delicious, staff was friendly, and I enjoyed spending a bit of quiet time while the place wasn’t packed. I hope to come back again soon, I’ve already spotted some other menu items that sounded good to me.

My friend and I stopped in to order take out. The lady who took our order was polite. The food tasted good but not great. Their Portuguese sausage is really sorry example of what it should be. I was unimpressed with the portion of unshredded shoyu chicken swimming in a soupy broth. Bamboo Grove’s food has much greater portion, texture and flavor. I’ll pay them from now on, sorry Ohana.

We were craving Hawaiian food & decided to check this place out. I’m glad we did, it is phenomenal!! 10/10 highly recommend it. I got the loco moco & hubby got the Waimea plate (kalua pig & teriyaki chicken). Portion sizes were generous & we took leftovers home that we ate later that evening. The staff was nice & the cook even came out to ask us how our food was. The service was quick, we didn’t wait more than 15 minutes to get our order. Plus it’s a cute cafe that is small & cozy with Hawaiian decor all around. Definitely a must try if your in the area. We will be back!

As a first time patron and fellow Kama’aina, I enjoy going to the different Hawaii Plate lunch places in Oregon. We ordered appetizer, combo plates, coffee, and dessert.

Best Hawaiian food I’ve had outside of Hawaii!! Absolutely loved it here. Please try their home made coconut ice cream! It was a delight. The salted salmon was also perfect. Would definitely come back.

I ordered to go and got the teriyaki chicken and musubi. Everything was good but the mac salad was bland. Chicken was not cut up which was unusual for a hawaiian restaurant – just one solid thigh. Teriyaki sauce was on point. Slightly expensive for what i got. Very cute and clean inside. There is a wheelchair ramp up a very steep driveway otherwise there are stairs. No parking whatsoever in very congested area.

Been here a few times just for shave ice, and had a decent experience. Tonight, my daughter and I came in for dinner after hitting in some batting cages. Definitely a mixed bag this time. They were understaffed, and busy. Loads of people coming in to pick up takeout orders. Both of our meals were mediocre. Ribs were greasy, and the BBQ chicken was a small portion compared to other Hawaiian restaurants in Portland. Never got offered water (there is no public water station). Brought our food without any forks, knives, or napkins. Just basic stuff lacking. Note to the owners, please have enough staff on hand to handle the business.

Teriyaki chicken was very good, moist and flavorful, staff was not very attentive but was pleasant when they were. Only gave us butter knife when we had chicken breasts made it hard to cut. Overall really tasty
