Ohana Island Grill (Miami University location, now serving Oxford and surrounding area), is a fast and casual Hawaiian BBQ restaurant that features BBQ mix, chicken Katzu, Kalua pork, musubi and more.
The idea comes from a family, that’s why we name our restaurant Ohana, which means Family in Hawaiian. Ohana is where we started and how we treat our customers and employees.
We are persisting on using fresh and high-quality ingredients for every meal we make. and moreover we offer catering services for any occasion.

WOW! The service was amazing! The food was absolutely delicious! I haven’t been to Hawaii in over 10 years and it definitely took me back. My sister just recently moved here from Hawaii about a year ago, I think this definitely reminded her of back home! I’m so glad we have this amazing option in Oxford!!

Ohana means family, but WELA means HOT and that’s what it is…it’s HOT in here! Yes, it’s summer in Ohio and there are definitely no Hawaiian trade winds blowing here. Twenty (20) minute wait in off season? I can only imagine what it’s like when the Miami University students are in town. There are two families in this restaurant…and that’s including mine. If you are in a hurry, you better e hoolohi (slow down)!

Discovered this place on the way home from a business trip. We ordered BBQ beef/chicken, and fried chicken. Very tasty and juicy with decent serving size. The staff/servers were courteous and friendly.

Amazingly delicious food! They serve musubi! And perfect Japanese curry and tonkotsu. I wasn’t expecting macaroni salad to be one of my favorite parts of the meal, but it was a refreshingly different take on it and we really enjoyed it. The man who took our order was very friendly and helpful as well. Can’t wait to return again soon.

I have to eat gluten free so I called ahead of time to verify they had something for me. They were super helpful and told me the Garlic Shrimp is safe. When we went into the restaurant they checked to see if the spring rolls were gluten free (they are not) and they checked the fries (they are gluten free but fried in the same fryer as the spring rolls). My shrimp was delicious and I didn’t get sick from any hidden gluten! I highly recommend this place. Exceptional service and yummy food!
