We are from out of town and wanted sushi tonight, so we gave Ohana Sushi a try. Wow, what a surprise, food was so good, also came out quick for how busy it was. Both my wife and I really enjoyed dinner!!

The food was great! Seaweed salad a little on the sweet side, and Tempura Banana only had two very small pieces of banana and was mostly ice cream, though very delicious. Doesn’t take away from the fact that the sushi was fresh and well executed.

After trying 8 different sushi AYCE, Ohana has become my favorite sushi place in town. They have lots of options for rolls. They didn’t get only a little meat in rolls just because it’s AYCE, which makes it the best sushi place. Please please please keep this awesome standard. Nice servers who came to check my table constantly. Food is fresh. Serving is quick. My only suggestion is to have better appetizer quality. Nigiri and rolls are all very good but appetizer options are kind of off.

I went on a Friday afternoon. They had no less then 10 people behind the bar making sushi. The service was so fast I could barely keep up! I recommend the godfather hand roll (pictured)

Asked a local about this place and they said it was the best in all of Reno. Showed up and the place is packed, that’s a good sign! Even though it was packed, we were able to get seated within 5 minutes as we opted to sit at the bar. Right away, we got waters and the ginger wasabi plates delivered. This is the first time I’ve seen julienned cucumber served and it was a refreshing addition. Got right to ordering. Hamachi nigiri, Arizona roll, Ultimate Tuna roll, Battle Born hand roll. Somehow I got an extra roll delivered as well but no complaints. Our server was the sushi chef behind the counter so service was super quick. Unfortunately our server spoke broken english and often times would need someone else to come by to take our order. We were stuffed at the end of the meal. All the rolls were delicious. We didn’t know they offered all you can eat. When it came time to check out, the server ringing up the tab asked if we ordered AYCE. Well turns out it was cheaper to pay the AYCE price than to pay for the rolls individually. We ended up just paying the AYCE price. If you’re in the area, put this on your list of places to visit!

My family and I really love this sushi place, it’s the only sushi place we eat at because it’s not expensive, foods great, and the service is great. My family and I come here almost every weekend or every other weekend and the staff is very kind and friendly. Highly reccommend!!!

I only took 1 photo, but boy, I ate at least 7 hand rolls, 12 mussels, and 12 pieces of nigiri. The amazing thing about this place is that they can make all speciality rolls as hand rolls! I’ve never been somewhere that does that. The food was perfect for the amount of fish and quality I was looking for. They also had a grilled steak hand roll which was pretty yummy and unconventional.

We come here quite often and have never been disappointed… but service and quality has definitely changed, mostly the quality has changed… the avocado tasted really old…. either the cups were dirty or it was the ice but even the water didn’t taste right. It got worse through out our meal. Muscles were a bit uncooked. Non of this Is the waitresses fault but it’s disappointing, there was a very NOTICEABLE hair in my shrimp that I don’t know how was missed…. used to love this place more then everyone else. Sorry ohana not this time.

We’ve tried a lot of sushi places in town and you know what? Ohana is the best out of all of them, so this is the only place we’ll go now. The orders come up fast and special requests are handled all on the order sheet, just write what you want and they’ll do it. The trick for fast service is come when it’s not busy. We came around 2pm on a weekday, you still get the lunch price of $21.95. The fish quality id really good, no dried out fish like some places.
