Visiting the area for a couple of months and wanted to try a sushi place. Ohkura is located right outside of the main gate to the AFB. It doesn’t look like much from the road, but once you are inside you will find it is very clean, quiet, casual and the staff is polite and friendly. They sat us right away, brought our drinks, answered any questions about the menu and even made a couple of suggestions. The food is prepared fresh at the sushi bar and it not only looked amazing, it tasted delicious. The prices are typical of what you would expect at a casual sushi restaurant. The menu had plenty of options. We would definitely eat here again.

I can’t believe the rating here is as good as it is. The food was not good. The service was acceptable but not much more. There is a large disparity between price and what you get here. I have to assume the good ratings come from those that haven’t ever been to another sushi restaurant.

Been coming to Ohkura for about 15 years. Always a great place for Japanese food. Today I got a tonkatsu donburi, I haven’t had a donburi in awhile. Fantastic, quick and yummy!

It was really good. I had the Travis roll and Ohkura roll and they were both delicious, also very huge rolls. I also ordered the Seasame chicken but it didn’t come with any sauce. It was still good but could have used something on it.
