Oishi Ramen
Simplicity is beautiful. But most of the time, you won’t notice the immense amount of hard work behind it. A bowl of noodle soup might seem plain, like nothing special, but once you try it, you’ll be amazed at how such a simple food tastes so good and is so addictive. Isn’t it a bit obsessive, you ask? Yes it is. Because it’s not just a bowl of noodle soup. It’s an art.

Despite the Japanese name, come here for the Chinese Beef Braised Noodles haha. The tonkotsu ramen was nothing special at all, but the beef braised noodles (niu rou mian) was impressive. The beef shank was tender, soup fragrant and flavorful, and the noodles had a great bite and bounce. Skip the soup dumplings (Xiao long baos). It was like someone who didn’t know how to make soup dumplings just decided to wing it with dumpling ingredients. Cucumber salad was OK (it’s warm btw). Likely to come back for the beef braised noodles.

I will never forget the day I ate Lanzhou Ramen here. The ramen was delicious and brought me back to my younger life memories in Shanghai. I was almost died that day when I was riding my Harley Davidson motorcycle from Green River to Salt Lake City. And the Ramen reminded me how lucky I am can come back with my full body still there. Thank you for providing such a home style foods.

A positive vibes atmosphere with energetic and happy staff. The ramen broth was bland, and the provided seasons and sauces did little to add flavor. The cool thing about this place is that you can scan a QR code from your table and look at the menu on your phone. This means the menu is always up to date, and there are pictures of every dish. This also saves a lot of paper. Make sure you check your food if you ask for them to withhold toppings because I ordered mine without scallions, and they forgot to leave them off.

This place is amazing!! First time having fresh made ramen noodles. They were pillowy soft, not heavy sitting in your stomach.

Authentic Japanese style ramen in the Chinatown area. Online ordering process was fast and straight-forward, and the standard pay the waitstaff at the table method via cash or credit card was easy.

I’ve eaten in this restaurant several times. Today, I tried the braised beef noodles recommended by the clerk. It’s really delicious and the service is also very good. She will also ask us what we need to make a comment. She is a cute little girl.

Update since our last visit. This place has improved their taste A LOT. Before was good, now is even better. Beef noodle is superb! Tried their Xiaolongbao as well and that was also pretty great! Great quality and good price.
