You know a restaurant is good when you still crave the food and finally write a review about it due to said craving! I went here two months ago on a trip to ATL and wow, what a hidden gem! Place was packed when I came, so I winded up sitting at the bar area watching the chefs prepare all the food, which is a highlight in itself. If you weren’t hungry when you got in, you certainly will be watching the process in front of your eyes! The okonomoyaki was worth the wait, please please try it with the yakisoba noodles and shrimp topping! (I would much prefer squid, but I’m hoping they’ll add it later!!) The curry with the katsu was also surprisingly delicious and hearty. My mouth is salivating thinking about how good the food was! I’ll be back again once I’m in Atlanta in a few months! Run, don’t walk to this wonderful place that’s open late!

Loved the food overall. The onigiri was so good! Could have eaten another 3 or 5. The combo dish was a perfect blend of sweet, savory and creamy from the Japanese mayo. The curry is very mild. Took it home to spice it up. Desserts were over all a win with the goma ice cream my personal fav! The chocolate sake was interesting. Definitely going to come back and try out more dishes.

Went with 2 friends on a Friday night and only had a 35 minute wait. The food was amazing and absolutely worth it! The place was packed but the wait staff were timely and so so nice. The atmosphere was amazing and it was so cool to watch the chefs cook.

I been here two times and both experiences was amazing. I ordered okonomiyaki with shrimp topping and those shrimps was so big and tasty! Also the main okonomiyaki is soft and not saggy, it is absolutely delicious. I recommend here a lot. The drink is also great and they have umesyu which was my favorite drink.

Another good discovery close to my house. The food and cocktails were excellent. The crowd of hipsters who got up to leave but then stayed standing crowding around our table for about 20 minutes having the most pointlessly unhip loud conversation was far from good. I wish the servers took note and told them to leave or sit back down. Really killed an otherwise great meal.

OK Yaki was a pretty solid experience. It’s a pretty cool spot to hang out for drinks for a while before you head out some other place. The bar is right in front of the kitchen staff so if you like to watch everything that’s going on, this bar is definitely for you. We were greeted promptly upon arrival and seated right away. The drinks were well made and balanced and the food was really good also. The food came out fairly quickly. This place is in a small plaza so parking isn’t the best. Not many spaces in the lot. I ordered the Kimchi burger. I have to honestly say it was full of flavor. I definitely want to order that one again. I did not enjoy the Japanese curry with tomkatsu. It was not that flavorful at all. I was really disappointed in this dish.

My friend and I were looking for a Japanese restaurant open late after a concert, and OK YAKI was one of our only options to try, but I’m so glad for it! The food was delicious (and beautifully put together too), the atmosphere was great and so was the service! I don’t live in the area but I’ll have to find a reason to come back soon. I definitely recommend anyone looking try this place out, especially that Japanese Curry with the Tonkotsu pork!! My mouth is watering again just looking at that picture I took
