This place is soooo good. I’ve been to the Joe’s gas station restaurant in Kansas City, and I know this is the same Joe.

The meat and sauces were great. Found my fries and okra a bit bland. And too much bread piled on the plate. It was kind of weird. This place also feels more geared for takeout rather than a dining in experience. But all in all it was just fine for a BBQ joint.

I had the burnt end sandwich and tried a rib with a potato salad side. Both meats were very good and tender, but the rib came with a little more sauce then I would prefer. Not the best I ever had as some of the signs on the wall suggest, but still worth a visit. Staff is friendly and service was fast. Will definitely come back when I’m in town.

Called today to see about have food delivered to a class I am doing tomorrow. I told the girl how many it was for, she rudely said come pick it up and hung up on me. I tried to call right back and was hung up on. I called 10 min later, talked to the manager. Told hew what happened, she said hold on let me see who it was. about 30 seconds later someone hung up on me. I tried calling back 3 times and was hung up on all 3 times. Heard this place has good food. I will never know as I will never spend a dime there after that. Sad thing is, I was looking for new BBQ caterer, our classes are normally around 20 people once to twice a month. Oh well. Anyone have suggestions?

I had the ribs & burnt ends dinner. The ribs were good; but paled in comparison to the burnt ends. Next time I’ll definitely go for the BarbeQulossal burnt ends sandwich! The green beans & onion rings made for a great way to round the meal out along with a bottle of Stella. I meant to order cornbread but but forgot and it’s a good thing too because I didn’t have any room for it when I finished what I had.

Fast service and a very friendly staff. Brisket was a touch dry but the pork was moist and super tender. Fries were crispy and well seasoned and the bbq beans were delicious with a nice sweet tangy smoky flavor.

I’ve had better at Famous Dave’s. Got the burnt ends sandwich, meat was ALL FAT with fake smoke taste, wayyy too much sauce on the meat itself. Had trouble finding at least 1-2 pieces of meat that were acceptable. Prices are outrageous considering the quality of food. Side of of baked beans were the only saving grace.
