Friend and I each ordered the combo which included udon, onigiri, and osozai. The broth for the udon was fantastic. I ordered the pork udon – no complaints, the tuna mayo onigiri – yummy, and the goma-ae. Food came quickly, and it was easy to find seating. Only complaint was the music was a little loud in the restaurant, and the menu was in a tiny font which made it difficult to make a decision until we were right at the cashier.

Cute spot in a quaint location. I’m not very familiar with Japanese food beyond sushi and really struggled with understanding the menu. I picked an item based on ingredients. The place was packed inside and several outside diners. I ordered the Pirikara Maguro Don which had a great rice-to-everything-else ratio. The flavor was pretty bland but the tuna was good. I would definitely go back to try different menu items and expand my horizons. Service was fast. Could’ve used paper menus to read while waiting in the long line.

I hate giving 3 stars, but this felt appropriate. Cute place tucked away, parking is hard with the snow. Staff are friendly. Got a few onigiri’s, I was super excited to try, maybe I didn’t choose the correct ones but they were all very dry. I probably could have made them at home. My daughter enjoyed the udon. Chicken karagae was different, it was definitely flavorful. The curry bowl was ok, vegetables were cooked perfectly. Dessert was fun, but a lot was store bought. I would say this place is a fun fast casual, but the dishes felt a little underwhelming. This is just my thought and point of view from the many raving reviews posted. I would like to go back and try something different. But nice to know there’s an udon shop around.

Okome House offers delightful Japanese comfort food served up in a cozy setting in a residential neighborhood. I went with two friends, and we ordered all of the small plates to share, along with 3 onigiri. The plates are small, but we ended up having enough food to satisfy us.

Wanted to try the rice ball as I loved it when I went to Korea couple years ago. Been looking for a place that made this. After a lot of research, I found this awesome place. The person who took my order was so sweet and welcoming. So I order 5 rice balls( the spam, shaved fish with cream cheese ( a little salty), smoked tuna (delicious), crab( very good), fried chicken and can’t remember the last one. They were perfectly made and satisfied my cravings. I will be back to try other dishes. I love it. The only thing I wished they can open earlier because they open at 4:30 pm. Other than that I liked what I got

Excellent food! The food had such a delicious flavor and the portion size was gracious. All the vegetables in the dish looked like they were cooked from fresh and the ambience was super comfortable. Definitely coming back with friends and family in the future!

Saw the onigiri on instagram and had to come try it! So good! We got 4 different ones and a order of the Tori Karaage. The chicken was the best fried chicken I have ever had, the sauce was amazing and the texture was everything. Will definitely be back, excited to grab some onigiri togo and picnic at the falls this summer

What a great spot for a relaxed hang. They’ve got it set up so it’s easy to have a shareable evening while still making variety accessible to the solo eater. Both me and the boy loved our food. The kara-age isn’t traditional but it is delicious regardless. We will be back!

We visited this place when it first opened and we weren’t really impressed, we were disappointed because we were so excited for a new local spot. We returned recently and were so excited about the expanded menu (the udon is great!) and the addition of wine and beer. The new patio tables will be great this summer! The changes they have made are great and we are so glad to have this crew in the neighborhood!
