It might help if they had a menu displaying the meat selection for that day. When asked what type of meat was on the menu one the workers seemed annoyed and uninterested at even replying. We weren’t asked if our food was to-go or dine in. ( even fast food asks this ?) The two women working the counter were friendly though. The condiments on the tables have been there for idk how long empty or hardly anything in the bottles of ketchup, mustard and hot sauce on the table. I asked the counter about hot sauce since all the bottles on the tables were empty and was told they didn’t have anymore hot sauce and to take one from another table. When I heard another customer tell her daughter (find another hot sauce eww.. that looks old. Yea that’s old.) Soda fountain and dining area and restrooms could use a little bit more cleaning detail as well. Not gone lie the food was good a bit pricey though not to even have condiments is crazy. At least I can know say I’ve ate here.

I got pork chops rice and cabbage omg it was so good. They didn’t really have a lot to choose from tho staff didn’t really communicate well with each other and seemed to have attitudes when u asked questions about the food. I also saw they had customers come back and ask for food to be warmed up so I took mine home and warmed it up but thank God it was good. I personally wouldn’t go back tho because service to me is half the battle. Also I went in for salmon bits and egg rolls they don’t sell those items in store only on their food truck and that’s only on Saturdays Outside the store.

The serving line needs better organization. The first server puts the meat on the plate. Second person puts vegetables on the plate. Felt like we were in line for 20 minutes. The wife got meat loaf, it was burnt on top. Bland. Mashed potatoes were good. My plate is pictured. Baked chicken and mashed potatoes.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. The staff were amazing, the food was out of this world. My favorites were the cabbage, the Mac & cheese and the wings oh and the beans and ribs….. Okay okay EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC! We are OTR truck drivers and the other place we went to, was closed. It was in God’s plans for us to stop here. We will definitely be back for sure. Hell maybe even be back for dinner LOL

I did not want to give 1 star to this place. OMG how do they serve and sell old food. The food was tough. Their attitude was horrible, no communication. The cashier was outside for awhile came in didn’t wash her hands just started opening plates. I wasn’t told there is an uncharge for Mac, you don’t get cornbread (extra charge). Half a scoop portions for $18.99.

The food is extraordinary, and everyone is extremely nice. The staff treats everyone as if they already know them, making it an enjoyable experience. We ate there two days in a row and thoroughly enjoyed our meals each time. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out some dishes are prepared upon request, making the dining experience that much more personal. I can’t say enough about Ol’ Henry’s and highly recommend this restaurant.

First of all no prices posted only the sides and up charges. The food is not what it use to be the fish is not fried to order , so it was warm the Mac was warm but now there is an up charge for Mac but at one time it was worth it; the reason for two stars was the sweet potatoes were GOOD. This was not worth 23$ . If you were to perhaps give same quality as in the past or add a dessert or beverage, then maybe. I was a frequent diner until my ninth meal would be free sadly they have lost me!

This was in fact the worst experience I have ever had at a soul food restaurant. I got there at approximately 3:30p. Upon walking in the cashier explained we must order our food to go, they were closing at 4p, although the door said open til 6p. We looked at food. Bbq was severely burnt. Looked horrible. I asked what it was and the girl at the food didn’t even know. She said it was ribs however it was actually burnt pork steaks. I asked for menu, they had none nor any pricing. I proceeded to order 6 chicken wings that she said came with 2 sides and cornbread. I ordered an additional side and supposedly my food order was $25. I was floored, I even assumed she charged me for 2 meals. Me and my dad ended up spending a total of $50. We ordered the same thing. I left looked at online menu. 6 smoked wings were priced at $12 on one website, $16 on another, but again I was charged $25. But it got worst. My chicken had not been cooked properly and had redness inside. My cabbage had just some parsley flakes as seasoning, are you serious??? What kind of soul food is this. I also ordered sweet potatoes. And they were a mess, I never tasted cinnamon, vanilla nor nutmeg. I demand my money back, all of it, I will be contacting the news media and BBB. As no pricing was presented, plus we never was issued a receipt either. Worst scam I’ve ever experienced. I will be following up with owner and all of my black affiliates. This business should be closed. Horrible food, guess pricing, and worst service as well. They didn’t know what they were selling nor any prices either. Will never go back, ever. Won’t ever recommend either. Worst experience, total waste of money.

Sugar in dressing and dry yuck, fried chicken tasted like it was cooked in old grease, Mac n cheese was cheesy but bland and cornbread tasted like jiffy mixed with a whole lotta flour. The only thing that was delicious was the greens. For $25 a plate I would not return not worth my money.
