Nice patio and view. The grilled chicken sandwich and potato salad were good. We went across the street to the Historic summit Tunnel and then headed back for some berry pie. A little expensive at $10 a slice but it was a nice treat.

A nice dog friendly spot to stop for lunch in summer if you happen to be in the area. The two salads we got were good. The Korean chicken salad was pretty spicy, but tasty. This spot also seems like a stopping point for PCT hikers and has a disc golf course (no charge for golf)

Saw the fresh baked pies sign after walking through Donner Tunnels and had to stop. Mixed Berry Pie was delicious! Hostess was friendly and funny. Liked the stickers on the bar. Will definitely be back to try the food!

Classic old bar and grill, old school Tahoe, a great spot for a few drinks and a snack. Cocktails were excellent and very well priced, bartender was super friendly and chatty. Food was middling: quite expensive for what was served, the chicken sandwich was solid but tacos were poor. Worth a visit but not something you’re going to write home about…

They no longer serve breakfast past 11 o’clock so I was forced to order lunch. I got the Korean barbecue chicken salad. It cost $20 and it only filled the to go box halfway, although it did taste very good the Korean barbecue sauce is awesome. I just think it’s a little pricey for something that is mostly lettuce and cabbage. I really want this place to be successful because we don’t have a lot of options up here on the summit, but I’m not sure if I’m going to go back again, seems expensive for what you get.

Excellent pit stop for a bite, beer or both after a hike, ski day or even a place to take a lunch break from work. The food is good and Rene (tender of bar, waiter, story teller, dj) is beyond awesome!

An ongoing favorite! Chill atmosphere, great drinks, tasty chow and comfortable pricing. Just a great place for a cold brew after a hike or day on the slopes. What more can I ask for?

Very cool old school bar and grill in the summer, and the ski bar in the winter. At the Donner Ski Ranch.

If you go to visit the historic train tunnels and want to eat in the area, this place is ok. People are very friendly and food is ok. We ordered the Korean wings and got hot spicy ones. They were good but we didn’t want spicy hot wings.

Don’t expect the Village at Palisades. It is a simple bar/restaurant with a ton of character at the foot of a small ski resort right at the top of Donner Pass. Some maintenance or freshening up of the deck would make the experience more enjoyable. The simple food was well prepared and tasted good.
