I would normally give them a 5 star review! I love their food, have had it many times!! However, this past time I went there, I ordered the pulled pork, garlic mash potatoes, and coleslaw, also comes with a biscuit. Everything was good love the garlic mash potatoes, but the pulled pork was not as good as usual, pretty disappointed, Not much shredded pork, sort of dry and had very hard pieces in it. My friend had the brisket with fries, and you get a lot of fries, that were good and hot, very fresh. But again, that was the first time I was disappointed in the pork! I love there food and have even bought there bbq sauce! My son had his reception catered by them, they did a wonderful job, the food was DELICIOUS! Maybe it was just an off day!! There is inside and outside seating. The employees are always friendly and polite! I will go back, like I said the food is always delicious, and one time of disappointment of the pork will not stop me from returning!!

Had the pulled pork and brisket combo last night. The pulled pork, baked beans, and corn bread was very good. The brisket was tough and not as good as usual. The vinegar Cole Slaw didn’t seem fresh either. The sweet tea was bitter and it’s usually really good. The service was good. To top it all off, my wife and I both got the craps. Really disappointed as we’ve always really liked Old Carolina.

The cornbread was flatter than normal. Recently half of the pulled pork dished on the plate is burnt and inedible. My husband had more burnt pork than me. I also had a bone sliver in mine. Glad I found it in my mouth and took it out and didn’t swallow it. I do wish that they had malt vinegar for the fries and hush puppies. But the pepper vinegar works okay.

Very impressed with the BBQ, not to smokey with good flavor and good texture. Mac n cheese, very good. The Nashville hot chicken was fabulous, just the right amount of heat with a nice sweetness/sour of the Cole slaw and the right pickle.. I LOVE BBQ and have a hard time finding somewhere they dont smoke it to death. The servers (I did take out, so not the right term) were AWESOME. I wanted to try each sauce and they were willing to give us a cup of each.. Hoping I can come back, since I live 140 miles away, but if I can’t I will be looking into ordering their sauce. Great amphoshere, great food, great prices! Thank you!!

Made an order for my daughters baby shower for pick up. Ordered on Weds for Sat. at 2:15. When I arrived to pick up my order I was told they were closed. This was an order for 40+ people ($400+). No phone call, no notice.. Just stuck at the last minute with nothing. I’d recommend never going here for any event that needs catering.

this place is sort of like punishment. if you are forced to eat here instead of Mission BBQ, you are in for some luke-warm everything. it’s almost like they sous-vide everything here like they do over at “liquid”smoke. they keep everything in a water bath at 94 degrees for about 4 days…and then they take it off heat for about 4 hours before they serve it to, you! the consumer!

Everything was good. Pulled pork was tender enough, ditto for the sliced brisket. Ribs were good but just a touch sweet for my taste … but not enough to keep me from eating 1/3 off a slab! Sides were just ok, I found the hush puppies to be a little greasy. Overall a very good meal and plenty of it for the money. Note they’re busy so be patient! Recommended.

We were so excited to have dinner at Old Carolina last night after not having been there since before Covid. Wow. Not sure if it was lack of staff or what but we waited AN HOUR for our food (with a very bored 6 year old). Tables were all filthy, soda machine area was filthy, no pickles out on the topping bar. Mac and cheese was cold and the very small portion of pork I got on my pork platter was laughable. The only appetizing thing about our meals were the hush puppies. Guy at the counter was rude after my husband asked “How are you?” “Busy” he replied. Yeah we see that. Sadly we will not be back when you have Mission right down the road.

It’s fast food, but it’s really, really good bbq. The pulled pork was incredible. The mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy, and pretty perfect. My son loved his brisket and made happy food noises over the mashed potatoes. We both thought the cornbread rocked. Portion sizes were great for the price.
