Best variety of dining options in Garden city. Smoke free, family friendly. Salad bar and sundae bar. Good homemade pies. Fast kitchen. Service is OK. Has seating to accommodate large group. Didn’t like the green beans. Good hamburger. When I went they advertise Thursday special all you can eat catfish, Friday all you can eat fried chicken. Kids get large portions. Several fries options. No fresh fruit. They also sell Missouri Lottery. Quiet dinner experience (music is low). Clean bathroom. I’ll go back. You won’t leave hungry.

40 ROMEO’s “Retired Old Motorcyclists Eating Out” returned to Old Cedar for another wonderful meal. We eat out every Tuesday and no one does it like Old Cedar, lots of food, great service (for forty) and reasonable prices. It was a rainy day and we still had a big crowd.

Haven’t been here in a couple years and soon as I walked thru the I knew something was different. It wasn’t wall to wall people like it used to be and looked like new staff but I figured we would give it a chance. I noticed right away the two girls working was rude and very slow. I mean I never in my whole life seen anything like these girls.

We’ve come to this restaurant for years as a family. The recent new owners, apparently need to figure out how to run a restaurant correctly. We came here for the unlimited Fried Chicken, which was good when we got it. The only problem was, is that everything was cold. The chicken was cold, the mashed potatoes were cold, the green beans were cold. The salad bar was ok, but it was self serve.

The waitresses are amazing!!! You are the reason we keep coming back. The food is really good but a lot of places serve good food it is the waitress staff that keeps us coming back. Stay great ladies!!

Disappointed with the food and the service. Ordered a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and sausage and they brought out thin bread with half a slice of american and some sausage patty plus a bag of chips(for breakfast??). Nor were they apologetic for the display and just brought out an egg to make up for this 6 dollar meal that was not even eaten.

Good food. Huge portions. The downside, though, is that ALL the waitresses are 15 years old highschool girls. In my opinion…. That’s a lil weird. Not a single guy working there except the owner. On top of that, none of the waitresses seen to know how to do their job. They couldn’t even tell me what some of the meals were.

So disappointed. Since changing owners this place has really gone down hill. Salad bar was terrible, lettuce, cucumber, egg, cheese, no onion, no tomato, poor choices of dressing, just sad. Ordered the special that night, chicken fried steak. Came out very quick because it was “instant” heat and eat stuff. Won’t be going back, miss the real Old Cedar Inn.

We had wonderful food but the people who bought the old cedar inn are having problems with people who don’t like there race.!!!!!!! An the father served our country an his son is now an they deserve respect they live here an are americans an good people. So please go an eat there in garden city mo.
