We stopped by here on a business trip. The weather was perfect to sit outside and enjoy the sun. We got nachos and cheese with marinara and the marinara comes out hot so it compliments the nachos perfectly. Then we got a hand tossed pizza with half cheese half pepperoni and that was also delicious and cooked perfectly. The staff was great came to check on us a few times always had fresh drinks.

This location is horrible. This will be the last time we come here we would rather drive to a farther away location. Serves? Ummm any please?? Got sat down place was dead. Took a lil bit to get a server they were at the bar or up front on there phone….. someone finally gets are drink order gets us our drinks. We are ready to order and dude puts his finger up and says I min. He walked to the bar and never came back….. we waiting watching them stand around at the bar and finally 20min later a young lady comes up to take our order. In the past they have really messed up our orders for pick up. Also our last din in was just as bad….mmmm doesn’t that pizza look like it was made with love

My husband and I visited after not having been in two years. We like the food, I got a salad and be a pizza. We were sitting there wondering why the restaurant doesn’t have a lot of foot traffic. Both times we’ve been in now the restaurant was practically dead. The setup is nice and seems like it would be a good atmosphere to hang out and watch games. We saw their happy hour special and though dang, that’s a really good special (we intend on returning for happy hour) so why does Johnnys get more foot traffic? We finally came to the conclusion that the service overall is lacking. My husband didn’t get a refill on his drink. I had to set my glass towards the end of the table so the server would notice I was in need of a refill. We’ve never received “great” service there. I think if the servers stepped up their game, and the restaurant stepped up its events / advertising, it would thrive. Especially now that the college kids are back. Just an observation

There were only four people at the bar at lunch time, I understand the employee was training someone, but I had to get their attention to take my order before teaching the trainee some 10 min mixology of 2 drinks! Pretty slow paced service, to say the least. Then, I got my favorite, Italian Nachos….hardly ANY cheese or pepperoni’s! Then, I asked for more marinara to eat with all my plain chips that were left over, and they charged for it. Just not my best Old Chicago experience!
