007 Rendezvous Time
Im always in the mood for steak and a cocktail! So the fancy restaurant across from the hotel seemed to be the right pick. They accept online reservations via website. Once arrived, seated immediately. Very friendly staff and great service with fun open market atmosphere. Our server Chris, was also very responsive and a delight. Food reminded me of the typical chain steak restaurants. Perhaps it’s what I should have chosen. The prime rib came cold, not even flat top or flame seared as requested. Not sure where the disconnect happened but it did. Ate a very dull and boring dinner at Old Gilman Grill…spent $167, and say no more, not even about the cocktail.

Food was good, I loved the pasta. I was with a table of 13 people and all but 2 of us got their food and was practically done eating before the final 2 plates came out. But we were having a good time celebrating a friend’s birthday and mingling with each other that the delay didn’t affect us. But the unprompted follow up from the manager and our waiter being extremely apologetic over the delay was an absolute A+++ for me. I was wildly impressed with that level of service. THANK YOU. I definitely recommend and will certainly go back whenever I’m back in the area.

Wonderful place for a business dinner or date night. The steaks can be cut with a butter knife and melt in your mouth. The servers and staff are always on top of everything, they are also pleasant and easy to talk to. Definitely one of my preferred restaurants in the Chattanooga downtown. Nice bar and out seating option which is a plus too.

Old Gilman is always a good choice, whether for a nice business lunch during the week, dinner with friends on a weeknight, or date night on the weekend! I recently had the Pappardelle Pasta, and it was purely amazing. The flavor was awesome but also so unique. I’ve never had anything like it, and I’ve tried a lot of pasta in my lifetime. The brussel sprouts are always a great go-to appetizer.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would! My husband and I got the salmon and the trout and split both. It was 100% the best meal of our lives! Our waitress, Bailey, was the sweetest and most attentive! The entire staff was full of personality and you could tell they were meticulously picked! 10/10 experience!
