The food is great each time we’ve had breakfast here! They have baked goods, ice tea that is brewed on site, wonderful meals. When busy, its a tight squeeze and often need to stay out of the servers way, but this is a small and cute establishment!

Had to go to Alexandria couple days ago. Stopped at old homestead cafe. We use to stop all the time years ago when it was ( barbs) but now old homestead cafe is even better. Wonderful food and service. Atmosphere was way cleaner then before.was kinda a blast from the past. Awesome.

My family frequents this restaurant often and we’ve been satisfied every time. We’re typically not easy to please but you couldn’t find a friendlier wait staff, hot, flavorful food and a variety of homemade desserts. My dad fell last week in the parking lot. The waitresses, cook and everyone immediately came out to assist. Provided us with bandages and first aid kit, how many restaurants can you say that about. No complaints, only compliment’s from our family.

We like to try local cafes while traveling and make a note of places to return. This is on our list now. Friendly and fast service, good variety on the menu and reasonable prices. We’ll be back to try some comfort food and maybe even their homemade pie.
