What a fantastic experience! I came here for my birthday dinner with my family and was treated so kindly. The duck risotto is a must! The quail, chicken, and short rib were all excellent as well. The owner has created a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, paired with the chef’s excellent menu, and you have a unique experience, one that isn’t stuffy but has all the feel of a neighborhood bar with food that tastes like a white linen table cloth restaurant. We’ll definitely be back!

Nothing short of amazing! The restaurant is in an old house that has been beautifully restored by the Rivers’ family. The attention-to-detail and craftsmanship is felt the moment you walk in the door and the quality of the food is impeccable! The service is fantastic and you truly feel “at home” here. Old Man Rivers is a unique and fantastic addition to the Chattanooga food scene. Eat and drink here regularly, you won’t be disappointed.

Had a great dinner here. Everything that was ordered tasted amazing. Gotta try the Short Ribs and Gnocchi. The restaurant has a great vibe inside. The owner was a nice guy who took the time to talk with our table about the place. Good beer selection. Everyone should go try it out. We will be going back for more soon.

Loved the space! Service was on point, Brandon was very personable and helpful. The crab in the crab salad toast tasted very fresh! Absolutely loved all of the rhubarb options (a food close to my heart). Our food and drinks came out super timely. Enjoyed our experience and will come back soon!

Been excited for this place to open as I live less than 2 miles away and it did not disappoint. I sat at the bar and was quickly greeted by the owner Rivers and had a nice cold draft beer. I ordered the Austin Chicken Salad Sandwich with Fruit. The food was delivered promptly and very delicious. The charming building has been completely remodeled and the atmosphere was very cozy but didn’t feel crowded. I will definitely continue to return until I have tried everything off the menu as everything looked incredible. Thanks.

Overall, this place is good. The owner and the other staff are extremely nice and friendly. The drinks are great and well balanced. The reason for 4 stars is due to the quantity of food for price. For example, I ordered the short ribs, for $27 and the amount of meat that was delivered had me wishing me for more. Let me be clear, the quality was excellent and everything was packed full of flavor. However, for the price, I do feel that the portion size should be a bit more generous (see the picture). My wife ordered the fish of the day, which happened to be salmon and it was amazing and well portioned. The environment was great and I personally like their desire to keep people off their phones. I will definitely come back again and would absolutely recommend!

Great new restaurant on the Downtown side of Red Bank! The place is small, and, since it was packed that night (Saturday), it was a bit uncomfortable at times. However, the food more than made up for it! They are striving for quality over quantity. Nevertheless, my wife and the couple we were with felt full by the time we were finished. The Ribs & Risotto were fantastic! Our friends ordered Canolli which we all shared. It was so good, we ordered a second one. Will be back!
