We were looking for somewhere new to try and decided to head to Austin, Minnesota. The Old Mill was an amazing experience. Great bloody Mary! The food was delicious. We had the Trio and also tried the soup of today which was the Asparagus Bisque –YUM!! We were seated at a table that overlooked the water. We drove from Iowa (not too far) and will be back.

One of the best restaurant experiences in a long time!! Zach was our server and he was absolutely the best!!! Zach recommended the potato skins for an appetizer. Oh my gosh they were so delicious! The thousand island dressing on my salad was made in house as was my wife’s ranch. The breadstick was unreal!! I had the prime rib which is a Friday/Saturday night special. Very good!! My wife had the ribeye and it was delicious. We splurged and split the Malibu Rum cake. It was so light and delicious. We drove an hour to eat here. It was well worth the drive. Great atmosphere with views of the Cedar River. We will definitely come back.

We just stopped for a couple of drinks before we went to a nearby wedding reception, so I can’t comment on the food. The service, atmosphere, and quality of our cocktails was excellent, though. I am looking forward to visiting again soon.

First off this is our first time eating here. The food was amazing the bill was a little spendy but definitely worth it for the quality of the food for the area. Their desert was amazing as well. They were down a cook but still happened to get our food out in a very timely manner. Bartender also went above and beyond and we can’t forget about the waitress as she also put up with our jokes and did very well as well. We will definitely return to hopefully expirence the same food and service again. Definitely worth the 5 stars.
