This place is from a bygone era when families turned their homes into restaurants and taverns. This charm still exists here. I came here to eat with a party of 8 for which we made reservations. When we arrived we were offered our choice of a private room or to eat in the main dining room, of course we took the private room. We had two young teens with us and the server let them know of an array of choices that were not on the menu. We very much appreciated this and it made them feel more comfortable. They have a great cocktail and wine list and all though the beer menu was small ther were great choices on it as well as traditional domestic offerings. The food was some of the best I’ve ever had. The prices were below average for what was provided. I will definitely be going back here again.

This place is not wheelchair accessible, and is a hazard for anyone who is mobily challenged. The long, uphill, bumpy asphalt path from the parking lot to the restaurant alone is reason enough to stay away. Seniors, especially, may love the old cottage “charm” of this place, but that charm could easily cost them a trip to the ER. No matter how good the food may be, a visit there is not worth it. Inside and out, this place looks like it is in serious need of repairs. The owners should consider shutting down permanently. It’s long past its prime.

Have enjoyed a number of entrées through the years. All have been high quality. Friendly wait staff from bartender to servers. View from the patio of the pond and rolling hills can’t be found in many places.

This was such a quaint restaurant! I called to ask if we needed reservations and they said they recommended them. We made reservations for a half hour later. It was very busy and it was a Sunday night! The service was outstanding! Our waiter was informative and attentive. The food was delicious. We started with homemade bread that was wonderful. Every entree comes with soup or a salad. I had the French Onion soup (still cannot believe it was included with my meal). The manicotti was good, as was my husband’s pot pie. All meals come with family style side dishes. Today it was butternut squash, mashed potatoes, and beets. DELICIOUS!!! I ordered a piece of cappuccino kahlua cheesecake for dessert. The bill came and was only $47 plus tax. Our meals were so big that we have a meal for tomorrow night.

Such a great unique place with character. Nothing beats eating here on a cold snowy day…fires burning and a great hot meal. I had the turkey dinner and everything tasted made from scratch and was delicious.

I am always impressed with this place. My wife and I went there for our first anniversary and returned again for our 21st. Fantastic food, service and ambiance. A must try for anyone who is looking for an “out of the way” gem. Try to get a seat facing the pond. Great view of the surrounding area. The beef on wreck wontons were awesome. Beer and wine selections were nice and our server was very accommodating.

Attended a wedding there on 3/11 and the whole experience was wonderful. The staff was attentive and always smiling. The food was delicious. And it was so clean. I would highly recommend this place.

Still serves super tasty food after all these years. Definitely worth the drive into the country if you’re into high quality, down to earth food. I got the French onion soup to start, it was rich and savory with a nice cheesy crusty top over bread. Had the rack of lamb with Demi glace and smoked Gouda mashed potatoes. Tasty and perfectly prepared.

My family went for a holiday reunion to the Old Orchard. Even though we we were last COVID they still wore mask and provided a safe feeling of dining for my parents now in their 80s. The staff even took photos of us after our meal in front of their fireplace
